I refuse to believe it's possible to have no complaints about a mobile phone company.

I've never had a problem with them.

Reception at my place is crap but no worse than people on other networks get round here, and in general their network coverage is fine. Meanwhile, I'm on a good tariff, I get a free phone upgrade every year, their customer service has invariably been good when I've needed to use it and because I've been with them for a while I get a small discount on my line rental. What's there to complain about?

Orange, been with them about 8 years on contract now, no complaints now we've moved round the corner. In fact I found out yesterday that I get a 20% line rental discount as a loyalty bonus if/when I renew my sub next May...

20%? I'm not getting that much of a discount! IIRC mine's more like 10%...

Maybe you've found something to complain about now, Roadkill.

I currently get a £20 loyalty discount off a £35 tariff. So a 57% discount.

(Not with orange, with 3)

I might ask... I was only paying £15 line rental at full price, though, which is hardly a rip-off and might explain the smaller discount.

My monthly bill including insurance usually comes in at well under £30, which given that I use my phone quite a lot isn't extortionate by any means.

Second take on this thread.... tell us who your network is and if you're pleased with their service....

I had AT&T which then became Cingular which then reverted back to AT&T

In Detroit the coverage was pretty good, in Chicago is sucks mainly cause of all the skycrapers and general urban crowding and because there are a shit-load more cell phone users here...

The only one on your poll listing we have here is T-Mobile and i've heard a lot of complains from their users....they are the low-cost provider with usually entails low-cost coverage.

Any other questions?

Actually I just checked and I get £25 off a tariff of £35, which gives 400mins + 250 texts and a few other bits and bobs. Then I have an unlimited internet add-on for £5.

I never exceed my allowance so my bill is pretty much always £15 a month, unless I've had to phone abroad or something like that.

And a few months ago they gave me a free phone as part of a contract renewal which I promptly ebay-ed for about £90 so effectively I pay around £7.50 a month.

It's well worth doing a fair bit of serious haggling and threatening to leave each time your contract's up for renewal - that's how I've got myself a fairly good deal, anyway.

...

Actually, that is a rather better deal than I'm getting. Tbh I can't really be bothered shopping around too much, but I will ask Orange about possibly switching tariffs...

Mind you, probably if you added up all the time I spend negotiating and arguing with 3 over the year, you'd find that it actually costs me £150 a month.
