What's your kitten got up to this w/e?

whoops - did I kill another thread..?

no you didn't...i was horribly careless, only ever had fully grown cats before and had no idea the mischief kittens can get up to...i was in the middle of decorating when i picked tommy up from Ms T and had paint brushes on the floor in the kitchen being cleaned*. he managed to get in an old coffee jar with turps in it (and brushes as well)...he started mewling right away and got a full body wash and hairdryering...it was traumatic to say the least :(

now all chemicals/================================(that was tommy!) are safely in the shed plus i'm wary about flowers i put out, no lilys and no ponsettias

*edit...brushes were in a jar on the floor

Mine have started sleeping on our bed with us at night. It's very funny -- we get into bed and about five minutes later Hendrix will appear, closely followed by Dylan, who likes sleeping as close to my face as he can manage, purring loudly.

Dylan is very keen on being as toasty warm as possible. He is often to be found sleeping under the radiator behind the sofa. He also follows Hendrix around everywhere -- and vice versa. They are completely inseparable.

They have completely destroyed Harvey's feather-on-a-stick toy.

They are lovely.

oh that'[s lovely! Tommy has slept once in the bedroom right next to me with Skoda at the bottom of the bed fast asleep, otherwise he would have been chased out sharpish :( I don't think she'll ever take to him tbh, she's a grumpy old woman! I am seriously thinking about getting another kitten in the new year now, i think that would be better for Tommy.

How's your Harve getting on with them?

Like yours, Roxxi and Nero are insperable, apart from when offered the skin off a roast duck, they were both prepared to fight over that.

dlo they ever growl? my sister got 2 kittens about a week after i got Tommy, and if she ever gives them treats, say she's roasting a chicken and gives them a bit, apparently they hunch over their bowls and growl if any one approaches them! :D

Harve was initially suspicious, but now they get along fine. He likes to join in their games sometimes, and they will curl up together in a jumble of black and white fur. He's got a bad leg at the moment though, so is rather subdued. I think I'll have to take him to the vet tomorrow. :(

Mine growl if one of them tries to steal the other one's freeze-dried fish treat.

Both my kittens tried to jump onto the side of the bath while I was in it because they wanted to see what I was doing. Both of them got down pretty quickly when they discovered it was wet and slippery!

Now they are sitting behind me on the computer chair, and Hendrix is trying to nibble the label on my knickers which is sticking out of the top of my jeans.

Mine will sleep in the bath once it has dried out. or sleep in a box of scarves, or in a box of socks, or on the radiator, or on the floor by the radiator, or on top of my computer, or on top of my partner or they will go down the side of the washing machine to get in behind my fitted cupboqards to sleep in the bottom draw......

What is the point of cat beds? I'm glad i didn't bother buying one.

My kitten was neutered yesterday so I have spent all morning trying to stop her jumping around and splitting her stitches.

It's quite peaceful as she is more subdued than usual but I'd better not get used to it, she'll be terrorizing us again in a couple of days.

I got up this morning to be greeted by not one, not two, but three fucking dead mice in the house. All of them brought in during the night by one (or both) of my cats.

WTF? Did they do it in shifts? Or did they stuff all of them at once in their mouths???

At least it wasn't half a mouse, with guts spread all over the carpet. My mum's car would leave her that on a regular basis
