i've stopped the cat milk now, he wasn't drinking it and was going for the "human" milk which i don't think agrees with him :( so it's h2o all round now for a while

i can imagine kittens with knitting...how many stiches have you dropped?!

human milk?

i get all squeamish at the thought of breastdfeeding a cat.

i know you didn't, but what you said amused me.

The kittens slept on the bed with me this afternoon (I'm on nights). Every so often I would wake up to the sound of vigorous purring and one of them trying to burrow his way into my neck.

he's been watching the football and cricket, and he has been watching it...he sits below the screen and follows the action!

One of mine used to do that - she would sit right in front of the screen and try and pat the ball :D she doesn't do it now, which is a bit disappointing, although recently there was a programme about bears and they were catching salmon in a stream, which intrigued her for a bit.

This weekend she was mostly following me around and staring at me every time I looked at her. I think she was worried we would go away and leave her again.

as toggle said, awwwww! i've been off work today and he's been sleeping on the sofa with me for most of the day.

made an appointment with the vet today for saturday morning, he's so tiny though seems to small to be stuck full of needles  :(

Someone just widdled on my floor. i'm not sure who though.

I blame my partner, our daughter was annoying him, so he shut the kitchen door, hainv the effect of also shutting the kits away from their litter tray. he's now sponging the carpet

FAO everyone with kittens on this thred: how do they react to mirrors?

Mine seemed to understand what mirrors really were from the outset (perhaps they learnt about them in their first residence) and never reacted the way you sometimes see in homemade videos: puffing up and confronting the "adversary" or looking behind the mirror and getting all confused... :D

Stunk the house out, strewn the contents of the wastepaper basket everywhere, chewed up the sponge I use to clean the bath, hogged the sofa, almost driven the cat to slitting his paws.

I still love her to bits though - such is the power of kittens! :)

PG Wodehouse.

You've inspired me to look up where I'd half-remembered it from, and it was Simon Hoggart in the Grauniad (29 October):

The mystery was solved when I got an email from Hilary Bruce, who chairs the UK branch of the PG Wodehouse Society. "The quote is actually, 'the noise of the cat stamping about in the passage outside caused him exquisite discomfort.' This occurs about halfway through The Man Who Gave Up Smoking, the second chapter of Mr Milliner Speaking, which can also be found in the Mulliner Omnibus. Tony Ring, editor of the society's journal Wooster Sauce, tracked it down this morning while reading on a train." Thank you both.

resurecting this thread as young tomeh has recently been introduced to mirrors, and he's so funny with them...pounce ponce jump back pounce...what's behind it..ad infinitum! or until my arm gets tired twizzeling the mirror around!

taking him to the vet next weekend for his final jab, then he can be let loose omfg!

only had one incident since the turps  i now patrol the house for anything even vaguely hazardous...i had a small empty cd rack in the hall that kind of narrowed up towards the top and he managed to get stuck in it  awful at the time and he was subdued all evening :( he's probably just about to be eletrocuted as he's chewing the mouse cable

anyway, apart from the two incidents he's doing grand. got him a cat bed today, and some sort of cat comforter for xmas, he loves the bed but he's got to wait for his comforter!

Mine have started sleeping on our bed with us at night. It's very funny -- we get into bed and about five minutes later Hendrix will appear, closely followed by Dylan, who likes sleeping as close to my face as he can manage, purring loudly.

Dylan is very keen on being as toasty warm as possible. He is often to be found sleeping under the radiator behind the sofa. He also follows Hendrix around everywhere -- and vice versa. They are completely inseparable.

They have completely destroyed Harvey's feather-on-a-stick toy.

They are lovely.

Mine sleep at night under my bed, or if i get fed up with them trying to clobber each other in the night aned evict them, they sleep in my son's bed.

I've just had the pair trying to play whose the king of the castle on the back of my chair, hopping on and off my shoulders, falling off, climbing up me to get back up, and one jumped on my head at one point.

Like yours, Roxxi and Nero are insperable, apart from when offered the skin off a roast duck, they were both prepared to fight over that.
