Well some episodes were kinda. E.g. Whoever Shot Poor George Oblique Stroke XR40? Never Never say Die (The Christopher Lee one involving cloning). And some weren't.

Yeah, I meant they can't really be classed as sci fi as a whole. IMO.

It was a New Zealand TV series based on the book by Maurice Gee.

Scared me shitless as a kid. The slug family really freaked me out.

I highly recommend it.
