Whats your favorite live album?

psychic tv - ny scum / haters (a recording of a mid 80's gig at danceteria)

I always preferred Live in Reykjavik of the 23 albums

Also agree with Annierak that 'If you want Blood' is a classic...

Must admit i have a fondness for Live Chronicles- the Hawkwind tour of Chronicles of the Black Sword :hmm:

B.B.King - Live at the Regal
Jimmy Reed- At Carnegie Hall
Magic Sam- Live at Ann Arbour 1969 (amateur recording or not)
Fleetwood Mac- Dead Bust Blues (Boot of Warehouse show New Orleans 1970) or Boston Blues (official release from previous year)
Muddy Waters- Live at Newport 1960
Howlin' Wolf - Live at Alice's

I've only got Live Decade of Aggression. Is Live Undead better then?

Very fond of At San Quentin too.

26 minutes long. No fat, just Slayer at their angriest (and some would say, at their peak)

1. Black Magic
2. Die By The Sword
3. Captor Of Sin
4. The Anitchrist
5. Evil Has No Boundaries
6. Show No Mercy
7. Aggressive Perfector

And thats it. :D

i forgot about my other favourite live album - robert rental and the normal - live @ the west runton pavillion. i believe mute may have re-released it recently... it's fucking brilliant.

Bootleg series volume 4: Bob Dylan at Royal Albert Hall, 1966

'I don't believe you.... You're a liar!
Play FUCKING LOUD!'

RFTC - "R.I.P."
the smiths - "rank"

i don't really know many live albums tbf.

i love the orb live 93 but that's from various shows, not just one.

that Peter Frampton one. show me the waaaay where he does strange things with his gob.

other than that, a Burning Spear live one (can't remember its name off hand). i'm not always keen on live albums, unless i was there.

oh yeh, 16 Horsepower - Live 2001

here's a clip that i love. think it's from the same show, if not, it sounds the same anyway. he is the bollocks.

Some more stonking classic live metal,

Double Live Gonzo - Ted Nugent
On Your Feet Or On Your Knees - Blue Oyster Cult
Tokyo Tapes - Scorpions

A no-brainer question: The Johnny Otis Show Live at Monterey!

You got Johnny Otis, Esther Phillips, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Ivory Joe Hunter, Big Joe Turner, Roy Brown, Margie Evans and a bunch of others. Hot rockin' jumpin' jive from the beginning to the boogie-woogie bye-bye.
