what's your fave pasta shape?

Ooo! Gonna look out for that.

Another one we tried recently was candele, about 3 foot long sort of big macaroni thing. A bugger to cook, we had to break them which sort of ruined the effect. Nice tho with a mushroom and cream sauce.

Another different long pasta is De Cecco's fusilli lunghi bucati, really long fusilli but with a hole in the middle of it. Great for suaces that coat pasta.

I had penne tonight but it was ridged like rigatoni, penne shapes with ridges  Worked well though with pesto.

Penne rigate - ridged penne. Better than the smooth penne I reckon.

Radiatore ftw

I can't believe so many peoples favourite is penne. That comes close to the bottom with me along with those bows.

Big fan of fusili, spirali, spaghetti, taglietelle and most other pasta shapes, but penne and bows :hmm:

My current favourite trottole

structured pasta. i like pasta that you spear with a fork and it has at least two layers, seperated by a space - and the space holds - so that makes penne better than fusili - for reasons i realise i may not have explained terribly well.:o
