Other end of the beach
Laser crew, hands in the air! Etc
Weymouth Esplanade lasers
Weymouth harbour a short while ago featuring a VERY NICE BOAT
That’ll do me on a cold December night.
Finally getting my arse in gear - I learnt quite a bit of conversational Welsh as a kid, but the people I learnt it from and used it with died, and I've barely spoken a word of it for more than 25 years. This may well be the worst language course in the entire world, but it was only £2 in the Oxfam bookshop in Ludlow, so, you know, win.
If anyone has any recommendations, I'd be grateful to hear them.
^ this is pretty good.
Different harbour, waiting for fireworks...
Widemouth Bay, Bude
my geography is way too basic to know/guess based on your previous pic. but that's an opera house, right?
A Danish flavoured opera house and a harbour bridge.
in that case i'm massively lost. where the fuck are you?
Right now on a train into the outback. Yesterday evening, Sydney Harbour.
Clovelly, North Devon.
This morning's view.
It's the reason I love coming to this house. It's warm today and I'm looking at this view. No tv, limited internet, just sun, sea and this view.
Geeking out on something of a busman's holiday. Not quite my current view as mobiles are banned in the valley (and are a PITA for them, especially listening to the Voyagers, as a discussion with one of the DSN engineers revealed).
(DSS43, the 70m antenna used to uplink commands to the Voyagers in the first shot DSS43 from Honeysuckle Creek which relayed the first lunar landing walk in the second).
More seaside stuff.
Just gulls and the lifeguard people. Dark now of course.
--// A Polish mate of mine claims he learned Welsh watching Pobol y Cwm whilst in prison in London. I think I believe him.
I'm not in Wales.
Another antipodean harbour...
Spain, a good bit further up, through my living-room window. Land of contrasts!
I was struck by all the snow on the mountains when I went to Motril last Wednesday. It's odd to be hot on the beach looking at the snow covered mountains.
A garage tidy produced a load of offcuts.
Perfect excuse for a fire.
It's good to be outside again, despite the greyness.
Sometimes working in an office block has its advantages:
Mrs SFM’s Scandi-style house booties
Chicken Biryani type thing in a bag. When my colleague said 'i'll provide lunch', this is not quite what I had in mind...
It was however rather nice.
mid-Wales. In something of a marked contrast to yesterdays blizzards...
