I don't love tv but i don't hate it either...

i saw six feet under on tv and oz and lots of obscure shite that turned out to be ok on independant film channels

also, where would "Desperate Housewives" be without tv ?

he scares me...

but i like the show ok!

it's evil

No - concentration camps and civil wars where 800,000 people die by machete are evil. TV is often stupid, facile and misleading, but so is any other medium. If you want a medium that has been used to convey evil for centuries look to your books - Mein Kampf and the Bible for starters; if you want to look at a medium where hate is easily peddled today look at the internet - by comparison TV is benign in it's content.

I'm with Orang - and anti-TV snobbery is like any other form of snobbery and simply means that you're looking down on something to make yourself feel better about your own choices.

I hate this snobbery about TV

so do i "oh but you could be doing something far more constructive if you weren't sat watching the telly". if i wanted to do something constructive with my time i would, but after a long day at work i like to switch off and watch telly. sometimes i even get to watch programmes that make me think and engage my brain. crazy, innit.

maybe i should read a jackie collins novel instead. far more superior to watching the goggle box.
