What's the worst film you've ever seen?

If having half of hollywood going "look look at us we can do deep stuff too please give us an oscar please please please" is your thing then its a great film. Personally I prefer my arthouse to be a might less engineered and contrived. And how many frigging times can you show a girl on a swing. Enough already! I got it the first time!

Oh behave. They queued up for the privilege of working with Malick, sure, but he only used the people he wanted to, and even then the big names didn't get the big parts.

There's nothing contrived about that movie at all, it's heartbreaking and challenging and beautiful

Baise-Moi.

It might be some people's cup of arthouse tea, but I thought it was just nasty (though the size of one of the blokes in one of the sex scenes  )

I cannot believe that we are nominating films like Hardware & Shallow Grave. Both are works of cinematic genius compared with that steaming pile of turd that is Green Street (stand your ground).. Or the Hobbit & the ICF..

I'll be *flamed for this I expect, but there was one of an artist who poisons his wives and paints them as they get sicker and sicker.

*The reason? It was a Bogart film.

Still horrible.

What an odd choice. It's called The Two Mrs. Carrolls and while not among Bogards greatest films I thought it was an intriguing and well made thriller.

Spawn - the only film that makes me head hurt. too much. too soon.

It really was bad, wasn't it? I think part of the reason I liked Blade was that they were similarish enough to be comparable, but Blade was so much less embarrassing in almost every way. Christ, all the fart jokes etc, Spawn really was execrable. And with a film like that you would hope that the effects might help a little bit make up for the crapness. Did they heck. Some of the worst CGI ever seen.

I'll follow on the Patsy bandwagon... Absolute Beginners :D

She was in a film called 'Blame It On The Bellboy' or something that I once saw because I was too hungover to get it together to change channels. It was fucking hellish. :(

'Nuns On The Run' also sticks in my mind as one of the worst films I've ever seen, too.

Oh yes!

'Boxing Helena'! :D

Now THAT was a shit movie! Bloke chops his g/f's arms and legs off and sticks her in a box. Nice one. It was so shit that even someone as dreck as Kim Basinger refused to be in it and got royally sued for breaching her contract.

Sherilyn Fenn, however, had no such qualms. :D

Shallow grave was shite tho but i have to take my hat off to you for remembering Green Street, just how fucking bad was that

I haven't seen Green Street but I did once have the misfortune to see The Football Factory, which must be a contender for the worst British film ever.

Mr Freeze: "What killed the dinosaurs? THE ICE AGE!"

I only ever rate the films I paid to see, as they cost me money to watch. So it would be either Batman and Robin, with the worst line of dialogue ever as displayed above, or Matrix Revolutions. Both Utter, utter crap.

Snatch and Nine Months are also very high on the crap-o-meter too.

Yeah I can't believe some people are saying that the early shots from The Dark Knight make it look like it might be comparable to that pile of excrement.

In the stakes of rank awfulness, Green Street pisses over TFF by a country mile. That's how bad it is.

Moulin Rouge. Like being force-fed chocolates until you heave. Over-dressed, over-cut, with Ewan charisma-bypass MacGregor presiding... just vile.

Ah, easy one. Dumb and Dumber. A film made by monstrous, malevolent morons for the enjoyment of complete and colossal cretins. :)

They should have made it like that spoof trailer on youtube. That looked like a MUCH better film.

Absolon

I only seen it because they had some sort of Lou Diamond Phillips film series on a bus I was travelling on. It's so bad I can't remember much about the movie, but Kelly Brook was 'acting' in it.

One that still has me shaking my head is ‘Million Dollar Baby’. Endless plaudits and 4 Oscars, if that’s your thing, inc. Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor.

Never got it at all, cliche ridden, sodden with USA style sentimentality and utterly predictable. Just passed me by, I suppose.

I see a lot of bad films. A LOT. Here a few to avoid:

Played
Are You Ready For Love
Man About Town
Jersey Girl
300
