What's the worst best novel you've ever read?

ha, check you two, superior in your unromantic dryness. :D

if it's any consolation :p i don't go anywhere near a Bronte novel and haven't for a long time, and doubt i ever will again. they irritate me - same with Jane Austen.

one of my favorite books as a kid was the bonny pit laddie by fredrick grice , bit like catherine cookson without the love and for kids lol wouldnt mind reading his books again for nostalgia sake

I fucking hate the other two Brontes :D And Jane Austen. With a passion

just had a text , italian meal cancelled can we just eat in preferably indian with a bottle of wine .
my kinda lady lol saves me a few precious pennies too lol

another good book i read lately from my old collection tho hardly a classic , was
revolt on the clyde by wull gallagher , well worth a read if you wanna know how far a government will go on these isles to surpress an uprising or strike

ooh the man who was really a woman. middlemarch?

fuck, i can't remember either :D

edit: yep. Eliot.

while i'm at it, DH Lawrence can fuck right off too.

i'm enjoying this and imagining my english teacher at school's face....it's been a long and hard day.

It's not exactly classic material, but I don't get Iain Banks. I've read one (mercifully short) book by him – The Wasp Factory – and it is possibly the worst book in terms of prose style I have ever read.
