What's the very first thing you do when you get out of bed in the Morning?

have a wee, then back into bed to drink my cup of tea that magically appears by the side of my bed every morning

Ah, now THAT is something I miss from when I was in a long term relationship :D :D

(I don't suppose there is any chance of being in that position again, though, so not terribly relevant)

Back to the thread..

On a typical, not too rushed work day:

I put my glasses on. Then pee, or shout at whoever got in the bathroom before me. Then kettle. Then go back upstairs for a shower while kettle boils and shout at whoever jumped into the bathroom before me. Then shower. Then go and make tea and drink it while checking work and personal emails, and chatting to the cat. Then back upstairs to brush my teeth and shout at whoever jumped into the bathroom before me.

There is a lot of shouting in my morning routine :)

I think there are too many people living in this house!

There is nothing quite like the unbridled joy of living on ones own......

The bathroom is mine, all mine. The kitchen is mine, all mine. The sofa is mine, all mine.

Gone are the days of wishing bloody murder on whichever hateful abomination had the temerity to use the bathroom just when I wanted to use it! If I fancy toast for breakfast - the bread is exactly where I left it, the loaf untouched, the toaster is always free, my favourite mug is exactly where I left it - sitting in the cupboard, just as clean as when I washed it the night before.....

It may not sound like much, but after well over a decade of shared houses, it's utter bliss....

Am now thinking it would be nice to share my life briefly during my week...with someone special...some day, but, this ^ rocks.

Roll fag.

Put kettle on.

Take dogs outside for their toilet.

Make tea.

Log on to urban while drinking tea and chain-smoking.

Go back to bed.

Switch on R4/tv news. Make my bed (if I don't do it straight away, it never gets done). Piss. Make coffee (not with piss, obv).

longdog - what about your toilet?

I think I'm worrying for all your bladders :D
I often don't need a wee til I get to work, or I wait til I've had my shower, then I have a waz

Yes they had sheets and you kind of had to make the bed as they got all wrinkled but there's really no need these days
When were duvets invented then?

They've been around for ages, but for a while the stuffy Brits eschewed them and called them 'continental quits' and stuck to their rubbish sheets and blankets.

I stand up, go to Softyyoungman's rm and wake him. Go lie down while he uses bathroom, then get up again when he's finished. Go bathroom and seat on the toilet (waiting for no 1 or 2 :D ) while I brush my teeth. I like multi-tasking :D

All I do is straighten out the pillows & duvet - just seems to make the room that much tidier. That OK with you OU? :)
