what's the significance of '7'?

Two fucking losers who have nothing to say about the topic and are just sitting here giggling about saying "wank".

Utterly not worth talking to.

Pardon me for asking but what skin of your nose is it? Is your alarm clock wired to the urban new posts page or something?

I thought I was coming into the Maths class, I appear to have taken a wrong turn and ended up in the infant school playground....

The number 7 is considered lucky when playing cards - the method of shuffling decks of cards that they use in casinos (where cards are slipped between each other, don't know the correct term for it) - the packs must be shuffled like that 7 times to achieve maximum randomness of card distribution within the pack. Or something like that!

wouldn't that mean that there is a definite level of predictibility to the shuffle then?

in psychology they told me you can only store 7 different things in your short term memory which i reckon is connected

I think 7 is the highest number of discrete objects people can see all at once without having to count out one by one, unless they're autistic/a savant. Well that's what it says in 'The Mathematical Brain' by Brian Butterworth anyway.

In Korean the days of the week are related to general stuff around us.

Sunday - 일요일 (Chinese for 일 = 日 - Sun)
Monday - 월요일 (月 - Moon)
Tuesday - 화요일 (火 - Fire)
Wednesday - 수요일 (水 - Water)
Thursday - 목요일 (木 - Wood)
Friday - 금요일 (金 - Gold)
Saturday - 토요일 (土 - Earth (soil))

They are derived from Chinese characters.
