Quite, and they're mainly ugly piles of North American shite as well. Only 2 good cars have ever come out of the US - the Shelby Cobra and the Mustang MkIII. Everything else is over-engined lumps of shite with no beauty, style or panache about them.

Well, the 1965 Shelby GT350 Mustang is rather sexy Look, and of course the 1969 Dodge Challenger.

Other than that, you're on the money, shite.

The Shelby Cobra is the same car as the AC Cobra, right?

That is the only car I have ever really really REALLY wanted.

Now THAT is a sexy mode of transport.

Yes, I can. The vast majority of cars here are automatic, and most people can't drive a standard.

You don't get a full driving licence over here unless you pass the test using manual transmission. You can get an automatic licence but that's the equivalent of a provisional full driving licence only:

Always fun swapping hands when driving left hand drives on the Continent!

Every one, from 1910 to the present?

Yup, septics can't build cars, well known fact around Europe and by European drivers. Needlessly large, awful handling, poor build quality.

It goes like this:

Buy European if you want style and soul
Buy Japanese if you want hi tech
Buy American is you want something that might as well be from the 1950s.

Look what happened to the BMW 7 series when they let an American loose on it, or the old Ford Granada? Disasters, both of them.

Just as I know only of a fraction of the cars produced or driven in Britain, I'd bet dollars to donuts that you know shit about american cars.:)

I know loads about yank tanks, thanks to having a sort-of stepdad who was into all things American and automobile related.

That is gorgeous.

Isn't it just. :)

Saw loads of Cobras (kits) at the weekend, at Duxford and those pumped up wheelarches massive (American)engines/tyres/roll-cages just leave me cold.

Whereas the British delicate original is wonderful.

Although the 289 (4.7 litre) Cobra is a more subtle version and a little bit 'hotter' than the Ace. I like 289s.

I haven't read the whole thread but someone HAS to have said a motorbike....all that horsepower between your thighs :D

Mmmmmmmmmm ;)

Put your tacky red plastic two-wheeled toys away.

Anyone with any sense knows that trains are where it's at.

PHWOARR! etc.

Modern trains are about as sexy as John Prescott drooling, especially that yellow nosed minger that Teuchter posted.

"Sexy" transport began and ended with .............
