what's the point of veganism, if one can be vegetarian?

Tell him to stop being a lazy twat and start cooking, print off the above thread and get them foodstuffs in his kitchen.

Unless he's got an eating disorder, in which case this would be a really daft thing to do.

I swear veggie curries actually taste better than meat curries. I am not a massive fan of chinese and thai food so I don't really find that a problem. What is a problem is motorway service stations, when I was bussing up and down the country last week I was at some motorway service station and I had a choice between, KFC, Burger King and some pre-packed sarnies. I went for sarnies with crisps and starved.

Found out the other night Fruli isn't veggie either but I am not bothered about that. Stll going to drink it :D

I am amazed at how many products aren't veggie friendly. Quite chuffed with my becoming a veggie... don't know if I can hold out over Christmas!

I went from being a lover of meat and fish to literally not missing it one iota at all.

However, the amounts of things they put animal fat into is just wrong on so many levels. Even now I have to accept I won't always know 100% for sure if something is truly veggie.

Being a vegan must be even more of a nightmare. Especially living without cheese.

((cheese))

Just eat the turkey man. If you want to eat it, eat it - don't feel guilty :)

as for alcie drinks... most wines, many lagers, some ciders and most if not all draught real ales arent veggie or vegan as they're cleared using isinglass or egg whites, but I couldn't give a fuck :D

however, all batemans bottled ales and i think all westons ciders (whose distillery i went to today!) are vegan :)

That's what I thought, I have given up king prawns but there's no way I am going to give up booze. No way. I'd die for right to drink alcohol.

Not suprising considering the millions of vegetarian Hindu's and a few thousand years cooking experience. :)

There appears to be evidence in the US study of a coincidence of vegetarianism and anorexia, which the profs say could indicate that vegetarianism and veganism are used to hide an eating disorder.

yeah, i said that on the first page :p

it's common sense when you think about it.

They can be used that way, certainly. But obviously not all vegans and vegetarians are anorexics!
obviously not. but the point that i made earlier is that it is a convenient way of legitimately restricting the food you eat without people asking too many questions.

"oh, i can't eat that, it's not vegan" etc.
