What's the most disturbing film you've seen?

Has anyone else seen Seconds by John Frankenheimer, released in 1966 one of the most disturbing and strangest films Ive ever seen
That film's straight-up creepy. Weird music, titles, sound, plot, tone, ending... I watched it in the early hours on a night shift and it freaked me out.

I rather liked Jacob's Ladder, btw. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it, especially in the vets' hospital sequence.

Not the most disturbing, but pretty disturbing nevertheless:
Lynch's "Fire Walk With Me" comes as close to a [waking] nightmare as I've ever seen captured on film... Very, very unsettling.

I'd forgotten about that one.

The scene with Laura and her dad sat in a stationary car reving the engine at the traffic lights always made me feel a little uncomfortable.

Maybe others don't think they were particularly disturbing, but Saw and American Psycho (to name two off the top of my head - erm, no pun intended), rattled me quite a bit.

But I enjoyed them nonetheless :D

The War Zone. Really, really, dark film about incest. I wanted to just keep taking showers after watching it, or curl up and think about anything else.

It is a beautifully made film, stunning photography, but unrelentingly grim. Tim Roth's only work as a director, guess he just had one thing he clearly wanted to say...

A Spanish horror film called La Cabine (the Telephone Box). It's about a guy who
gets locked in a 'phone box and can't get out, and eventually gets taken to a depot full of other people, many of them dead, who also couldn't get out.

Terrifying.

Remember this one. Very dark!
