What's The Best Looking Production Car Ever Made?

Land Rover Defender 90 has my vote.

I love the GTO; it's absolutely beautiful. But is it really fair to call it a production car, in the true sense of the word? What did they make? 40?

They still produced them :p nah its a fair point. I'd do absolutely anything for one though.

There is a very worthy contender that so far hasn't been featured on this thread and will no doubt cause any true petrolhead to do a sex wee at the mere thought of driving one, let alone actually owning one.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the finest and most successful sports racing car that the Jaguar company ever produced, a multiple Le Mans 24 Hours winner...

May I present for your consideration, the 'D' Type Jaguar:

A couple of classics I dreamed of owning when I was a kid..

From the 1970's Ford Capri Ghia..

The Maserati A6G Zagato.

There's something very lovely about Maseratis from the 50s and 60s.

ugghh hideous. Looks like something from Chrysler. How could they make that, after having made this:

I like the Ferrari 250 GT SWB, the Merc and Corvette convertibles.

I don't know how you can say that - there's a clear design lineage between the DB6 and DB9, and Chrysler, or any yank company, would never produce anything as subtle and understated as any of the Astons, even the big grunt versions...

cos they aren't production cars which would need to be a road going 50 in order to qualify under FIA rules as any decent petrol head fule noe... ;)

The 2010 Shelby Mustang 500 is one of the most beautiful cars ever in my opinion

After the Allegro Estate obviously.

apart from the Crapi I think these are all beautiful, but just look at the new Ferrari.

I think some people have missed the "Production" part of the thread title. ;)

The old Mercs and Jags are always going to get my vote. It's amazing that an E-type and an XK-120 can be so different and yet just as gorgeous.

For affordable classic... Well, I used to own a 635CSi. Such a pity I had to sell up when I moved to the UK.

what about these great aussie cars
