What's that trick for cleaning a microwave?

Vinegar usually gets a mention when it comes to 'magic' cleaning methods, but I've not heard this particular one. One thing I have heard similar to what you're saying, is to put a bowl of water with a few slices of lemon in it, and nuke it for a minute or so. Stops your microwave stinking, but not sure about the cleaning!

I think you should cut it with some water....like try a 50/50 mix first

someone once told me to put half a cup of tanqeray gin in the micro and nuke it for 2 minutes and that would clean it.

i was going to try it and then said fuck that and just drunk the gin.

If you can, see if you can get hold that cleaner, oh whats it called, oh yeah thats it, Elbow Grease, fucking amazing at cleaning stuff, you really should try it.

This is what I did, it kind of worked, I put it on full for twominutes, and left it to boil for the last thirty seconds or so. my kitchen smells horrible, but the microwave is clean. It wasn't quite the miracle cleaner I'd hoped for, but with a bit of scrubbing all the crap came off quite easily.

I just put a bowl of boiling water in it, close the door and leave it for 10 minutes or so. The heat from the water softens the dirt and it just wipes off.
