What's for tea tonight then?

Garlicky roast chicken, but it's too hot outside to be fannying around with roast potatoes etc so we might just have it with chips.:o

It was going to be pizza and might still have it later but I have just munched on a Waitrose salad bar thing adding several types of olives, sweet pickled onions, jalopeno peppers and a baby bell light to it....plus a rustic cob with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But if I get peckish later it will be a organic stoneground cheese pizza with big fat splodges of tabasco added by me. I also had a diet coke .

Poverty food can be some of the best food going though can't it?
true - i made jerk chicken with rice 'n' peas yesterday, and that was fucking gorgeous too - although it cost me about 7 quid to get all the ingredients for the jerk sauce, so it wasn't exactly poverty food in the end...

i cut the tops of them, filled them full of cooked mince (works with veggie mince as well) then put a bit of cheese on top of that and baked them in a covered dish with a bit of stock in the bottom for around half hour.
Cheers. I thought there was some kind of rice stuffing as well, but I guess it's just what you fancy putting in there eh?

beef stew with bubble and squeak

God I love dumplings. Less water is more better for dumplings, rarrr.

I've just tossed some butternut squash, butter beans, green beans, red and yellow peppers, garlic, sage and chilli peppers in pumpkin seed oil and passata and topped it with some olive oily breadcrumbs.... easiest meal in the world.. s'all going in t'oven and then into my tummy. :D

Didn't have pizza last night, so having it tonight.

Had McD's* yesterday, because we went to the pictures.

*heeeealthy, I know

Body. Temple.

I'm going to have scrambled eggs on toast I think. Or perhaps a greek salad. Or maybe both? ;)

I'm doing some spaghetti with veggie mince then after that I will be mainly having cakes:D :)
got another Sainsburys result this morning - went in for a loaf of bread and some beans, walked past the cream cake section and saw nearly everything had a yellow reduced sticker on it -
so I bought;
4 choclate eclairs
2 custard doughnuts
4 scones with cream
1 large vanilla sponge cake
1 large chocolate sponge cake
& 1 cream swiss roll

and the whole lot came to two quid fifty - i worked out it normally would have cost just over a tenner!

I could take the custard doughnuts off your hands if you find you can't manage them :)

I'll bear that in mind:D :D
- just dropped the chocolate sponge down to the woman who lives on the landing downstairs:)
right, now i'm about to stuff myself..

Well that thread in H&S which was totally derailed has now made me want cous cous, so I'm having (cheaters version) mediterranean cous cous, with cold chicken, black olives, and sliced tomato with olive oil, salt n pepper on em :D

Anything that's left in the fridge. Am moving on Saturday morning and it's a foodie-free-for-all until then.
