Beef enchiladas, coriander and lime rice and refried beans. Possibly a small rum to go with it.

Still got parsnips that need eating and a couple of small potatoes so them roasted with a melting middle fishcake as I managed to get to the supermarket today. I was going to have kale too but not sure if I can be arsed.

New veggie Cumberland sausages from Sainsbury's - they're extremely substantial and quite nice - I was dreading them being to meaty in texture, but they just about avoid that. With mustard, macaroni cheese and some broccoli.

Reading all these delicious teas has reminded me that Damian Trench is on 4x at 10 tonight. I never took much notice of it when it was first broadcast - it just seemed to be on a lot. It grew on me, so here it is, In and Out of the Kitchen:

This is tea for the next fortnight, tbh. About 7kg, just under £14. (And £7 of that was lamb.)

E2a: There’s a quarter of a kilo of cumin, fennel and coriander in there; two large bulbs of garlic; and two robust scotch bonnets.

I’m surprised to find it could’ve done with some more!

I'm going to make a big batch of chicken curry to last the next 4 days.
And it's going to have extra chilli and paprika. This head cold needs lots of that.
It may well be dinner and tea for a few days...just with different accompaniments.

sheothebudworths Up the bum - no babies!!!

Weds we had a chinese - FULL GREEDY version
Thursday was supposed to be a fast day but it was also a snow day so FUCK THAT - instead we panic bought crisps, peanuts and chocolate from the corner shop and spent the day in our respective beds eating ourselves warm  - had seeded flat breads with crispy soy pork/mayo/spring onion/lettuce in one and melted cheddar and red onion in the other, with tomatoes with s&p, for ACTUAL dinner.
Part baked baguettes with crab pate and salami and laughing cow cheese last night, plus Pringles and cream doughnuts.
Today I've made burgers to go in brioche buns with plastic cheese slices, herb and paprika wedges and salad, plus another pear and apple crumble and custard for pudding. All ready to be shoved in the oven/on the griddle pan whenever we get hungry.

Last night I made kitchiri, which is a kind of Indian proto-kedgeree. It was tasty, filling and vegan.

I have concerns about the potential for a soggy chip scenario. Fortunately it's not the FEB thread and we can do wtf we like :D
