Openning a local in Hebden Bridge sends out all the wrong signals in my opinion....Stevil said:Yes still going but has shrunk in size and activity but signs that things could improve. Contact address is now PO Box 75, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8WB

Its not a dig, but a question... given some of the discussions recently, here and elsewhere, the relative high profile of the iww in the states (and here), the wildcat workplace struggles, all this talk of precari-dee, you'd have thought that it might have been reflected in a renewed interest in syndicalism or industrial unionism... true there are one or two strong locales, but in terms of a national profile (urgh!) they seem to have long since disappeared...
... so has the organisation gone into deepfreeze or have they gone into deep cover?![]()
Indeed. i stand corrected.charlie mowbray said:Don't you mean Croat rather than Czech?
Hmmm. I quite liked him for being so serious when i met him. Didn't know he was in CW as WELL, thats quite a collection. But surely not problem? They all want they same thing... The only clear problem i can see is you can't go to all the meetings for the different groups, and you wouldn't be able to allocate the required time to all of their campaigns.knopf said:Large badge collection, a love of meetings, and an annoyingly moralistic tone, IIRC![]()
