Last day in work today

Cooking for Ms Music Anorak tomorrow night

Xmas day - pitstop at parents, back home to get sloshed with my lass, play scrabble and cards and cook dinner

All days - lounge around, read, watch films, sleep a lot, meet up with the Anorak a few times, maybe take her doggy for a beach walk

NYE - Anorak's coming round we are going to get veh veh drunk, eat lots of snacky food, and play board games with my lass and her g/f. I'm thinking of buying a table-tennis set and having a tequila-fuelled ping-pong tournament

2nd Jan - I turn 40! cocktails and more messiness

Whereas I'm actually dreading it more the closer it gets...have been very weepy the last couple of weeks, I just know I'll be in pieces on the day and full of bad, bitter feelings

There's a lot to be said for a judicious application of booze in these situations though. I'll just wrap myself in the booze blanket and go out in the garden when it all gets too much.

I think its because last year there was so much pressure to make it perfect for Glen whereas this year I just don't care that much. I'm just focussing on getting through it for the children and I'll be damned if I'm going to spoil it for them by crying.

There will, of course, be booze in the fridge. For emergencies only of course!

I'm back in Britain for Xmas this year. Very nice it is too - just got the deccies up at me Mum's and am beginning to feel 'festive' (ie drunk).

Massive big faaaaaaaamly (copyright EastEnders) do on Xmas day with gigantic meal, prezzies and hopefully none of Eastenders customary harrowing death trauma.

My birthday on the 28th will see more alcohol-related shenanigans and a curry, probably. No idea what I'm doing for NYE - probably fuck all - I've normally had enough of it all by then.

On January 4th I fly back to India and Han joins up with me out there the day after. She's staying at mine for a month. Should be good.

Waiting around for gsv's niece/nephew to be born! (due 28 Dec)

But I think we might go for a walk in Epping on Xmas day (just for something to bloody do)

Boxing day tea at my grandfolks' - visiting various mates to catch up on other days.

Maybe trying to grab a bargain bathroom and/or kitchen in post Xmas sales.

Tomorrow - two drinks parties and PROD
Sunday - delivering presents and food shopping
Xmas Eve - same as Sunday, and drinks with friends in the evening. Hendo's working a night shift, which is a bit shit.
Xmas Day - a nice walk with alien nation and acid priest in the morning, then back home to wake up hendo after said night shift with champagne and smoked salmon. Then cooking, drinking, chilling, watching a bit of telly
Boxing Day - entertaining the Magpies and BK and Mr BK
Thursday - chilling
Friday - having friends for dinner
New Year's Eve - going to France to visit friends for a week

We're going out tomorrow night so today I'm making myself a new frock and then going out to get Mr Madz's pressie and some last minute groceries. Tonight I'm hoping the frock will be done and we can start wrapping some presents and maybe, just maybe I might start to feel a teensy bit christmasssy .
