Cycled to work in the freezing fog, thawed out under the hand driers at work, got changed, arrived late in office (as usual), did a tiny bit of work, surfed internet - constantly refreshing new post pages on urban 75 and my email, felt incredibley bored and desperate and depressed

The routine never ever changes :( (apart from the weather bit - god i'm looking forward to spring)

woke up, had a cup of green tea, had breakfast, read my e-mails, surfed around a bit, had a cup of tea, thinking of getting up now so that I can do some work.

(((Hellsbells))) The weather here isn't too good either, after a week of hot sun, it is down to about 20C and overcast, :( and it is going to rain at the weekend on my one day off :(. I gave up a lot of the sort of shit you seem to be getting, at the end of the day life is too important to waste it being unhappy.

(((hellsbells))) from Mrs Dess too.

feeding, dressing and entertaining the kids. avoiding housework and thinking i realy need a shower. settling them to activites where they can entertain themselves and puting feyror down for his nap.

eating lunch, doing a couple of surveys for a quid, looking on t'internet for a job, procrastinating.

hellsbells - your job sounds an awful lot like mine

I have been feeling poorly and full of snot, trying to doze but having to keep getting up to answer the phone and the door.

I've given up now so will go and do some housework.

Having a driving lesson, which was all a bit meh. I'm feeling too moody to enjoy spending an hour and a half with someone constantly telling me what I'm doing wrong. Supposed to be off to the library in a bit to do some boring reading, sigh. In the meantime I am cooking spaghetti and watching the end of a fantastic 60s film called First Men In The Moon.

I have been on the phone mainly. My best friend has rung and offered me 10 days work where I used to work, just doing data input but she thinks it would be a good start for me and give me a kick up the backside. I'm wobbling a bit though as it's been at least 9 years since I was last there and I'm not sure I could cope with everyone looking at me. However, she did say that the floor she is on is nice and quiet and I'd just be along the corridor from her if I want to see a friendly face. :) Anyway, we've got to wait for the ok from her boss so it may come to nothing yet.

And I've been trying to get some sense out of the Tax Credits people.

My brain hurts...........

Have you done the tax credit calculator online yet? Gives you a good idea of what you'll get.

I'm sure you'll do just fine if it goes ahead

Thanks soj but I'm not sure I want to do it. I'd have to buy smart clothes for a start! I've looked in my wardrobe and all my old office clothes are 2 sizes too small for me now.

Hopefully she'll ring back tomorrow and say they don't want me. :D

Rubbish excuse

Go to Matalan, buy cheap keks and blouse, wear to work. You're only there for 9 days, how many friggin outfits do you need?!

Moomoo, you are a good, lovely person. You will be fine, and even if everything is bloody awful, it is only for a few days. It will get you out of the house and will give you a taste of different things. At the end you will know whether it is for you or not. Only positive things will come out of it if you let them. If you look for it to be negative it will be. Get out there, stick two fingers up at the world and tell it to go f*ck itself you, Moomoo, are coming!

And why are you keeping clothes tow sizes too small? Give them to a charity, then get to Matalan, TKMax and get something to match your inner sexiness.

Consider yourself told off!

Yes boss. :o

If it was somewhere where no one knew me, I wouldn't mind. In fact, I'd be all for it but it's the fact that I know a lot of people there and can't really be doing with all the questions and sympathetic looks.

Plus I've put on about 3 stone since I was there 9 years ago...... :o :D

We'll see.............

For the last two hours I have been mainly filling up with snot and sneezing.

a) nearly everyone will have put on weight in that time
b) you are more than capable
c) knowing people isn't the problem, if it was somewhere you didn't know anyone you'd use that as an excuse too

agree with the clothes too, thats nonsense, its only 9 days for goodness sake

get out there, do something - its only 9 days after all :)

I have been sitting in a jacuzzi and out door hot tub, in a sauna and steam room, I have been relaxing at 'The relaxation centre' I am all soft;)

Wakey wakey, switched off irritating phone alarm, drinking coffee and smoking a roll up.
The question is today can I be really bothered to lug a heavy case full of Laptops and Teaching resources up six flights of stairs, I dont think so.

been at work sitting at my desk since 7 am  finishing off some stuff in the peace and quiet. it's now done and dusted, and i am the bollocks.

walking along the river at 6.30 am has put me in a peaceful calm mood :) wonder how long it'll last...
