2001: A townie odyssey.

Lots & lots of hard-house, hard trance type stuff - a lot of which I can't believe I even liked let alone brought.

Started to get more into techno/electro stuff that I prefer now.

And lots of 80s electro-pop bands like blue monday.

And stuff like Grandmaster Flash, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, De la Soul.

But mainly hard-house :o

Shocked that it was 18 years ago.

I was 17 in 1992. I'd started college the year before and made new friends and ended up going to Dance Planet '91 at the Villa. I'd been into metal before that and a bit of hip hop (NWA & PE mainly).

By '92 everything was rave and rave was everything. Got a car, sussed that I really liked driving while I was speeding my tits off ( ) and you can easily (perhaps not easily) manage to get 5 mates in a Mk1 Fiesta.

Great days, met Mrs Fred the year after and sussed you could get a 6 mates in Fiesta if one of them was only small and didn't mind riding in the boot :D

88/89: I was mostly listening to Hendrix, Cream, Hawkwind, Roy Harper, Bob Marley and Rush.
