What would happen if there was an election and nobody voted in it?

I think it is going to be even lower at the next general election.

I think you might well be wrong. I expect the next election to achieve a new record for the last twenty years or more. It's when the result is predestined that the number of voters falls.

And they'll not be labor supporters crawling out of the woodwork imo.

Five years of Cameron ahoy:(

What government?

I thought parliament was dissolved before an election took place. So at the time of the failed election there are no MP's or ministers.

Wrong. The government never ceases. If the governing party wins, everything just carries on, otherwise the opposition take over. There is never no government.

They have reason to fear the rising tide of Islamism.

this has been going on for years though, before the muslim/cartoons thing was even an issue. and i really doubt that that many people in denmark feel that strongly about muslims to make that the reason why they turn out to vote in such huge numbers ...

There ain't gonna be an election where noone turns out to vote, just like there ain't gonna be a war where noone agrees to fight. So why bother discussing it.

There is gonna be a fuck off big strike next Thursday (24/4). That's much more interesting.

Voting changes nothing. Not voting changes even less than voting. What is needed is some good old fashioned kicking off
