What would be your ideal Mother's Day present?

Heh :D

I have never thought of getting my mother a present for Mother's Day. I sent her flowers and a card as usual. I rang her up earlier today to check that she got them and she had. Flowers don't last admittedly but it is Spring and flowers seem to be appropriate. I ordered scented ones as her eyesight is not very good.
That's a lovely thoughtful gift

i've just got a hastely shouted "Happy mummys day mummy!" shouted at me from Feyr jnr as he ran back into the house briefly as he's been playing outside with friends all morning. this has prompted mr feyr to suddenly look a bit nervous, and start asking what time i'm back from work tonight :D

i wouldnt mind him forgetting if it wasnt for the fact i know he was making mothers day cards with his keystudents during the week

I guess for my mum it would be to be able to give her a hug. I only see her about 3-4 times a year and she misses me.

I miss her too. About 3-4 times a year.

Aww @ the guitar painting and the Lego TM and the swizzle lollies. :)

I take it you've changed your mind about your first post then Madz?

I forgot everything. Card, present, day.

cunty fuck.

Well, if you make her a nice dinner and so on (and do a kid-style home-made card) that'll mean more than a present anyway.

Mine would be a book token. Hours of fun looking at books and deciding what to get. That's what I got.:D and some home-made flapjacks which have to be chiselled out of the pan.:) But that daughter is not feeling well, poor lamb.

A phone call would be nice *sigh*
My eldest isn't coming. He's in bed and is knackered from partying. It's his 21st tomorrow so he's been partying hard for the last couple of days. I've left an abusive message on his facebook to shit him up but I'm not bothered really :D

My son got up at 9am today!! Headed into town, I suggested he drop in on his sis and get my card seeing as she had gotten one.
He came back with a box of chocolates from Lidl, which last year woulda been fine but they changed the contents  and I don't like them much anymore. I said thank you anyway.

He also left oily marks(from his boots) on his sister's new carpet

A present- masterdarkone has informed me I'm not getting one:rolleyes: No surprise there then:( A birthday present would be nice this year but I wont hold my breath:mad:

Ahhhhhhh he was winding me up!::o He got me a lovely box of Lindt and a musical card. Bless-I'm so chuffed :D:

All the mothers day cards had been bought by people who plan ahead so I just bought some decent brandy instead.

I am a crap son

Tbh, I'd much rather have some decent brandy than a crap card. I think you did alright :)

Well she is now passed out on the sofa full of brandy and a cheesy ham and spag made-up-as-I-went-along dish. So I reckon I might have pulled victory from the jaws of fail.

Tarragon is the key I reckon. Tarragon.

hahahha, ahhh...ain't technology grand? :D

Isn't it just :D
I've called him a fucking skank and told him that I can't believe he's going to miss another Mother's Day. Then I told him that his dad says he's a cunt.

In front of all his mates :D

My Mum had a hip op the other day so I splashed out and bought her a really top notch wedge of choccie. She liked it too so I generally feel good about my generosity right now. Although boasting about it like that would seem to undermine any claims to altruism, methinks.

I got a card with paint handprints that middle boy made at nursery, and a card that the 5 year old made herself, unprompted, with a picture of me on the front and 'mum' with each letter inside a heart, and inside she's written 'Mamy I lev you sind Sophie o and hapy mevrsday' (Mummy I love you, signed Sophie, oh and Happy Mother's Day'). I nearly cried :o

Just back from that there Lunnon, I took a nice bottle of bubbly to my sisters where we hosted a dinner for my mum and her twin sister.

Too cute! Mums are so easily pleased :) Just turning up is enough to have them lavish praise on you!.

It was so nice to be able to fuss over them both. The evening ended in dancing and shoe tug of war, which consisted of me spending 10 minutes pulling loafers onto my aunt's tired, swollen feet and her yelling about her corns.

Im happy you all had a good day! And that there were a few surprises!

I had really quite a nice day but I had to throw my mum out for farting :(

If you're my daughter, you're dead right.

... except that last bit. You only miss your Mum about the same times you see her?
