The prof is wrong - see Neither Capitalism nor Socialism: Theories of Bureaucratic Collectivism edited by Ernest E Haberkern and Arthur Lipow, esp the appendix 'The Myth of Brino Rizzi' for why Rizzi's theory had pretty much nothing to with the development of the the BC theory that came out of the trotsky-ite movement, beyond simply using the term, in fcat it was intended to support mussolini. There's a complete lack of substantial common content between Rizzia and gthe theory proper. Callinicos reprints the myth.
