Moonlander on the DEC PDP-11...

This was completely text-based:- It printed altitude & descent velocity - you had to type in the number of seconds to fire the rockets...

mine was the pong thing that plugged into the tv with variations of tennis squash etc but then got an amstrad cpc464 and had 'classics' like harrier attack and lots of tape based games that made a noise when loading

I think if I heard that noise again I would instantly be transported back to being 7 years old and getting cross with my dad because it was taking so long to load.

mine was a pong type game plugged into the tv in the late 70s
with two controller nobs that you turned.
it was in colour
and had tennis (green), squash(red) and football (blue)
really great and made a lovely PONG sound when you hit the ball

i was going to say... mine was something very similar to this. My granddad found it in a skip outside his house, plugged it into the TV...

The first game with a name I remember playing was Manic Miner.
