what was number 1 on the day you were born?

Like a Virgin - Madonna

why was the '80s a mostly shitty era for music? (excluding anything to do with a certain little pill or Manchester)

The link didn't have anything much for my DOB except that the guitarist for Blondie was born on the same day as me. The subject of the thread intrigued me, so I set about looking my birth date up in Cashbox and Billboard archives.

Apparently, on Janury 5, 1950, the Andrews Sisters (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy/ Rum and Coca Cola/ etc.) were topping the charts with a Tommy Dorsey Band chestnut from a decade before called, I Can Dream, Can’t I?, fronting one of those Gorden Jenkins orchestras (Patty did the lead; Maxine and Laverne backed up).

Subsequently recorded by Cass Elliot (of the Mamas and the Papas) and a hillariously maudlin version exists on YouTube by .

All in all, not very auspicious or noteworthy.

Eh? I thought it covered all the dates. When's your birthday?

I think people are using the Date thing on the right hand side, I did it first too.

It then gives you an historical run down of what of interest happened on that day each year. It seems there was nothing of interest happening on that day in the year he was born.....that sounds like an insult. ;)

Need to put the date in the Record like image on the left hand side to see the number 1 on your Birthday.
