It's funny, I had GoW on the 360 and never liked it that much. At the time I had a crappy TV and it just looked monochrome and confusing. On the PC monitor with the 360 control pad it's perfect. What a game!
I'd really urge any PC gamer to get one, it makes everything so much more playable. Back in love with my PC now, it's like an Xbox but with better graphics!
2GB is fine for gaming - and as mentioned, faster RAM doesn't get you much
The CPU is okay for gaming - it's kind of the minimum, and going faster won't get you as much as...
the video card is certainly ok, but it's where you'll get the most bang for your money if you decide to upgrade. 4850 is a good recommendation and can be had for under £120.
You could always overclock that cpu a bit - those things have oodles of headroom.
1. Format c:\
2. Install TinyXP
3. Look somehwere like http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=11614 for tweak settings for individual games. Sometimes you can get scripts to do all these things.
4. Overclock if possible.
The above would probably get you better results than spending 100 yoyos.
Funny, I'd have thought the 3870 would still be seen as an alright card. 6 months ago it was! These things move on stupidly fast. Crysis can't have helped matters.
