Here is a rule that all gentlemen should abide by: Never Brown in Town.
Brown? Racist!
Sorry, wrong thread.
Either you are untethered, or you've been possessed by him. I'm not sure which you'd prefer.
brown corduroy jacket
The other Gentleman's rule which I am aware of is this: You should hold a Champagne bottle around the neck, and a Lady around the waist, and never the other way round.
I don't know any others. I am no gentleman.
Last you can have an optional impreisive peice of face furniture:

Job done!

Somebody brought me a brown corduroy jacket for Christmas... I never, ever would have bought anything in brown... especially not a corduroy jacket... I look like Open University 1976... what other colours would go well with brown?
Ha ha ha ha!
That was my first thought, closely followed by what teeps posted.
Then I realised that, among the friends I hang out with*, it could actually look quite cool.
*I'm in a band. I live near Hoxton. I know lots of people who really are a bit 'different.' This may mean that DC no longer wants to wear the coat.
Do you really? Fancy a malibu down the Macbeth?
Yup! Friends of mine used to live next to the Macbeth, too, just before it became trendy. I think they might, actually have been the ones who made it trendy. I am SOOO with it.
I am alarmed to see this hatred for brown, for i think it is quite natty and am very fond of a 1960s brown pinstriped jacket that i own.

you can wear black and brown, but you have to commit to it - no other colours. It's quite a statement.Black, depending on whether it's dark brown or not. Black goes with most things.
Or grey.
What the fuck goes with brown?...........
I'd take that as a hint that they probably don't like me that much if I were you![]()

Nothing wrong with brown at all. Its the corduroy jacket itself I'm concerned about.

Urghhhh NOTHING. Literally nothing, brown ruins everything. It's my most hated colour, no joke. I really feel very strongly about it.
Did they keep the receipt?
You are wrong. Brown is ace. There are many browns. I like brown. A little too much.
