What songs make you cry?

heh - not quite sure i see the logic, tbh. i'm sure he doesn't want to join anyway...:hmm:

no i doubt if he does too...

i think he wants to show me that i am wasting time when i have something to do, by forcing me to post :D ...

it feels a lot like tough love...:D

thats ok though, i will prevail.

his logic is crazy, crazy like a fuckin fox. :D

In no particular order, the follosing songs make me shed a tear:

One Moment in Time by Whitney Houston
Didn't we almost have it all by Whitney Houston
We've Only Just Begun by The Carpenters
Seperate Lives - Phile Collins
Down Under - Men at Work
Brick - Ben Folds Five

There ain't one damn song that can make me break down and cry-yyyyyyyyyy. But songs I get so emotional to would include

I would rather be blind by Etta James
Drift Away by Dobie Gray
I try by Talib Kweli
Rhinestone Cowboy by Glenn Miller

Several other old soul classics that make me think about being a young kid in the back of my mum's car listening to her 7 or 8 tapes over and over again, getting into music at about the same time as I began to understand how mental some elements in my family were.

Oh gosh - I would rather be blind is an absolute classic

Another vote for Brick by Bens Fold Five.

Also Fugitive Motel by Elbow cos it's so beautiful and Gimme Shelter by The Stones as it was played at my Dad's funeral and I can't listen to it anymore without sobbing my eyes out :(

Lots of music makes me cry. It's all about construction. A nicely turned piece makes me well up.

The obverse is that I weep tears of pain and anguish when I hear the vapid, turgid blandness of Springsteen, Collins and Sting.
