what size le creuset?

No size or colour at all.

Unforgivably wanky status symbol shite for people with no concept of value. Only owned by complete cunts, unless as a gift.

That's rude. I don't see why people who spend a lot of time cooking should not want decent quality tools to use. Good quality cooking equipment is often more energy efficient, eg my le creuset casserole (a plain metal one, not a cast iron "status symbol") cooks food at a lower temperature and saves on gas.

Knob off with your judgements :p

Because they're heavy, unwieldy pieces of shit that perform no better than lighter, cheaper, more functional pieces of cookware, and are therefore only purchased by either a) people who are after the cachet of owning the brand, or b) idiots.

HTH. :)

I'm being opinionated on this one, and no one's gonna stop me!

I bet they'll last longer than cheaper cookware. My mum has a cast iron gratin dish which she was given as a wedding present about 40 years ago and which no doubt my sister or I will have after she is gone.

Can't imagine I'll be leaving my cheapo Morleys pans to my grandchildren.

Well that's an unwarranted slur. Morleys sells a range of cookware to fit most budgets.

tsk.

Well there you go. It's the brand not the shop. No need to drag poor Morley's name through the mud.

I've half a mind to report your post and demand you be banned for defamation of character.

well, if they could sue me as the author of the statement, they could also sue editor as the publisher of the statement. so if you want to hurt me, you'll be hurting him too :(

Oh yeah, McLibel. Looks like it won't be a test case after all quimmy.

*I actually woke up in the night thinking about this*

I thought it as I was posting but couldn't be bothered editing.

think of the sleeplessness I could have saved you.

but didn't.

To be fair the sleeplessness was more due to having to share the bed with a drunkard who kept trying to hug me. I had to create a barricade of pillows :(
