what should the next MAC O/S be called?

Honestly, though, I can't believe it's going to be called "Snow Leopard". That's so shit. Did nobody say "er, yeah, you know we called the last one Leopard don't you?" Maybe Apple's Book Of Big Cats has a lot of pages torn out.
Ah but the trouble is.... they've used up all the cool cat names and Snow Leopard is about as cool as it gets (hmmm pun alert with exleper in mind) :D

Maybe they will move onto whales next.

OSX 10.7 Minke

'Did you say monkey?'

etc etc.....

I'm sure the most basic one will do me when I get dragged kicking and screaming from xp, just for bloody directX10.

Looks like it will be the first one I'll have to pay for as well.

10.0 was Cheetah and 10.1 was puma, the names just weren't official.
Apple have already registered Lynx and Cougar as trademarks.

Here's some more images:

There's the usual dull Macs vs PC bunfight on Engadget, but this comment amused me:
When I was 12 years old, I teased a snow leopard through the bars of his cage with the strap of my grandmothers camera. (Vivitar 110 with flash) The snow leopard got ahold of the strap and pulled the camera out of my hands, then bounced around his cage like Tigger on meth. The camera exploded, the zoo keepers came and yelled at me, then my gramma yelled at me.

This is just one of the reasons I hate Apple.

Another vote for 'Dave' as appropriate

But Pywacket preferred

I'm going off Apple at a rate of knots having spend the night setting up new comp for work (MacPro 2.8 Quad - lovely, fast but a pain in the arse)

Additionally, there is now a "Put Back" menu item for each file or folder in the trash, and as the name suggests, it puts the file back where it came from.

Blast from the past - there used to be a 'Put Away' option for items put in the Trash and moved onto the Desktop back in the days before OS X (getting on for a decade ago now).
