What pet have you got?

I want ALL the pets on this thread. Love the toothy pic.

We have a pair of budgies called Balance and Rigger. They are the stupidest budgies in the entire world EVER. Occasionally Rigger will hang upside down on his perch, go off into a daydream and fall onto his head. When they're out of the cage (most of the time now that the weather is right for keeping the windows shut) they climb all over their cage, not seeming to realise they're outside. It took them a MONTH to learn how to use their big-standard seed tray.

However, at night they cuddle up with their heads on each others shoulders and it's really cute. A pair of senile, grumpy old men.

We also currently have a toad, Ike of the Ikea-frog thread, because he clearly had a gammy leg once he started to hop around. We are very fond of him and he seems quite happy (very tame), but I would still like to release him into the wild come the spring. He is frequently taunted by his lunch.

Dougal and Toby. Dougal discovered today that he can leg it over a 5ft wall. From a standing start. Some dogs want agility training, dougal needs ninja training.

One mouse (dessicated) who stays behind the freezer.

I call him Mickey, in honour of Stephen Gately who was also a fan.

this is my dog dizzy - she is a hampshire snack hound

Here are 3 of my 4 cats (the horrid little black and white one never sits still for long enough for a photo to be taken so she is not included)

I always wanted a JR ever since my mum read me a book called The Adventures of Bobs when I was a kid (about a JR), and we got Dub earlier this year :)

I would like a Jack Russell - thay are just so great! I like the fact that their default setting seems be naughty. The look on their faces always seesm to say "What? What? What's the matter? What happened? Nah wasn't me I was miles away. Honest"

Im confused what you mean xbully?

If you mean you've got an english bull terrier, how far do they need walking? Is it miles and miles?

My ex has got a lovely lovely staff, and he's an energetic little fuck...... But they've got a 5 acre garden and a dogflap so he takes himself for walks, I on the other hand have a five meter garden.

Also my cat is my first proper pet...... so want to get some experience before i get a really hard work dog....... Was thinking about an ex racing greyhound or a bulldog first...... but not until kitteh has gone to the giant scratch pole in the sky.

I like really loyal dogs.

Don't you have hassle keeping them out of the water all the time?

We moved off the boat a couple of months ago so we don't have any problems at all!!
But as far as I can remember Treacle never fell in the water and she lived on a boat all her life.

They are great little dogs :) ( I love the naughtyness factor too)

English Bull Terrier crosses, they do need at least a couple of hours walking a day, any dog needs to get out and about IMO just the garden gets dull.

An english bull terrier and a cat would probably be trouble, they don't tend to mix too well with small furries, I'm sure there are exceptions but..........

Bulldogs are extremely hard work. Stubborn as fuck!

See lizzie, it's not just me that gets confused with the x thing :D

I used to have an English Bull sim, but the lazy fat fuck never wanted to walk anywhere, unless it was on a beach, and then he'd just run into rocks

Tbh not wanting to walk much sounds pretty good to me, I dont have much time to walk a dog during the week, the weekends ive got much more time......

Are they the type of dog i could walk to the pub with etc (between 1/2 mile and a mile)

My cats only 6 anyway, so she's gonna be around for years yet, so i cant get a dawg anyway....

Im sure im more stubborn than a bulldog lol.

If only you could get dogs on 'loan' from the dog home, like foster care or something.
