What.... no Hatton thread.

Right i vageuly know what i'm on about now with this fight. basicly its Hatton has to knock him out cos flash boy likes to drag out fights and will almost certainly win on points.

that about right?

erm, not a million miles away.

Hatton is the harder puncher. Malignagi is faster, slicker, but powder puff puncher.

Malignagi showed the heart of an ox v Cotto.

Malignagi is the taller - but can't find reach advantage anywhere? Anyone got it?

Jab could be a key, would like to see Hatton's steps (either side) in this fight.

ready made excuses eh?

i hope ricky knocks paulie out in the first round

Not really.

If you over train, you get tired. If you are too tired, you are not in the best shape.

And if you are in second best shape in a boxing ring, it's not so good (unless your skills are superior).

i don't think Mallignaggi has the beating of Hatton but i was worried to hear Hatton saying that he's thinking about retiring if he doesn't perform in this fight. it doesn't really give an impression that he's totally focussed on this fight if he's talking about what will happen after it.

I will watch this...

my friend and i went to the hatton/mayweather fight back when it happened and of course were rooting for mayweather natch ;)

BUT....

hatton IS a good fighter. almost great. but not quite. ;)

Bump.

Once a fighter gets thoroughly outclassed, it's difficult to muster much enthusiasm for a second rate victory over a second rate opponent.
This.

I honestly thought he had a chance with Mayweather.

He had no chance.

Lovely bloke. Hope he makes a mint.

Don't think there's anywhere for him to go professionally though.
