What no england u21s thread?

I feel like I'm shouting into the wind on this thread. :hmm: I guess it must be weird england playing good stuff in a tourney, even if it is at this lower level (and they are kind of cheating by throwing in so many senior players :D)

good game from us that, although naden surename begins with o looked shakey as fuck, even taking out the near own goal.

Joe hart really needs to improve his kicking!

I'm really impressed by this group of u21's. Reckon almost all of them will play for the seniors, at least pick up a couple of caps(not cattamole or mvumba).

From what i have seen so far its between us and germany. Possibly sweeden but i need to see them against someone a bit better then belerus.

Tomkins is very very new at u21 level im not shocked that onuma, richards and mancienne are ahead of him.

I dunno. Cattermole's a bloody midfield mangler. I respect a player who actually tackles like he's getting commission off the opposition physio :D

Ill be shocked if he is playing in the prem in 5 years time let alone at england level.

decent player but i reckon he will spend most of his time fliting between top of the champuionship and bottom of the prem.

yeah but they were idiots or just hated wenger.

you could see wlacott was just young and inexperienced but had the tools.(still the case as well)

cattermole has just never impressed me other then his ability to kick people and his work rate.

I reckon milner will force his way into the full squad permenently in time for the world cup, i really like him.

noble has had a good couple of games thus far. First game especilly his passiing was brillient. Just needs to learn how to tackle a bit better and he will be some player.

I agree, always thought Noble was class, another player people have been writing off, including our own fans, amazingly mature for his age, a manure supporting mate recently asked how old he was and couldn't believe he was only 21.

22 now(tis very recent though). but yeah he should be a very good player in a couple of years time.

Think he is being asked to do much for his age at our place and a young un is always llikely to have dips in form once in a while, but he has impressed me massively since coming through, pretty much since day 1.

He is one of the main reason we stayed up a few seasons back. A great prospect.

Wouldn't guarantee it. Should be a close game, but England and Germany are the two teams who might have defenders quick and sharp enough to cope with Berg and Toivonen.

Yeah - I'm just thinking of the Sweden Factor too (no wins for the senior side against them since what, 1967?). They play a style which is good at frustrating English players, and are pretty handy with it - plus they've got some impressive results in this tourney so far.

he's going to be alright until he starts getting a reputation, while he mangles opposition badboys it's going to be ok. but if he takes out someone 'nice' things will start getting difficult for him.

:(

I know, it'd be even worse if they actually proved themselves despite the weight of expectation and won the World Cup.

:(
