What,no Celtic vs Man Utd thread?

I was surprised that the commentators didn't make more of this at the time - it was blatant, the player was obviously injured, and the ref just let it pass - I thought it would surely be a penalty. The ITV commentary seemed obviously biased in favour of Man.U. though - maybe it's too much to ask to get at least a semblance of neutality from TV commentators?

What? and be taken off the Old Trafford riders...these fuckers are journalists, (who never think beyond their next freebie).

Missed seeing the goal and the penalty, was on my way home from work. Too busy to do the thread yesterday as well.

But fuck yeah! We're through! Can hardly believe it.

(oh, and whoever said isn't lennon usually more attacking, you're having a laugh aren't you?)

That was funny. Mind you it's not his job to be. Although last night did you see the pass he made in the first half to Magic who was ruled offside? It blinking well went forward! By quite a long way. And he actually had a shot (off target) early on. It was a difficult position and when I saw a player heading for it I prayed it was TG not Lenny.

Did anyone else notice that Evander Sno seemed to be be marking Neil Lennon for most of the first half?

Poor Lenny had to wander upfield to shake him off.

He's a caution isn't he old super ally? That quip of his was almost as funny as his penalty miss for Killie against Rangers when he joked afterwards that the reason he spoke to Stefan Klos before taking it was to tell him which way he was gonna go.
I did enjoy his "as unbiased as i should be" comments on setanta before the old firm game in september though. "Caldwell's crap,Miller's crap, how did Gravesen ever get to play for Real Madrid" etc etc. Thanks for tempting fate.:)

I know it's hard to believe that we beat Man Utd, but you don't have to exaggerate to make it seem even more unbelievable ;)

Footballs about taking your chances and thats what Celtic did. As for the first half yes I think Man U were clearly in more control but they never looked threatening. The game was clearly as the old saying goes "a game of two halves" :D

No true enough but maybe now we'll start to believe in ourselves more. After all the last player to score against us at Paradise in a european game was...the King of Kings.

I think it could be a turning point for us.

I think the Benfica result gave our confidence a knock and we didn't play well in the games afterwards. But I don't think it's beyond us now to get a win in Copenhagen, top the group and start hading out some real gubbings in the SPL.
