stop harping on about the past and your bygone "glory days"!
the last time the mighty spurs finished above arsenal in the league was in 1995.

but if you're that interested in being reminded just how shit your team's recent seasons have been, why not start a thread about how so superior spurs are, all of three points ahead of arsenal with fucking 18 games to go. what a fucking margin!

Or maybe all the creaming Spurms out there could give us a little football history as to how great (historically) the Spurm are to Arsenal??

Arsenal are charging £35 to Cardiff fans? Thats shocking

Then again, as with Mansfield have done to Newcastle and others is it not a case of Cardiff requesting full prices to drag more money out of the tie?

a) Utterly irrelevant to this thread.
b) I can get the same in several lower division grounds too. Seeing as you brought up seats/view as justification for the inflated prices, could you tell me why I should pay more for Arsenal's identical offering and what other grounds you've been to recently as comparison, please?
you should pay arsenal's price so you can watch the cardiff game at highbury.

simple, really.

True

If Arsenal made it a tenner to all fans, Cardiff City would moan like fuck

Competition Rules state that both clubs must agree on the admission prices. If no price can be agreed (as with Sunderland and their oppo) then it goes to the Ticketing Arbitration Board who will set a midway price.

So the Cardiff board had to have agreed to Arsenal's ticketing prices and they COULD have had them brought down.

Not Arsenals' fault

Frankley editer....us Londoners are screwed in just about everything, you could probably buy a mansion in Wales for the price of a poxy one bed flate in Bruce Grove (yuk!).

Stop yer whining.

Could you answer my question please, or is just too uncomfortable for you?

Yes. Best just meekly accept that football is a game for the well-heeled and never complain when ordinary fans are being priced out of the game, yes?

Your club agreed to pricing. Complain to your board

The tickets are the same price as a normal Arsenal game. To put the price up or down, both clubs need to agree, otherwise it has to be the same as the lowest category league match.

What an Olympian wriggle! You justified Arsenal's inflated ticket costs by saying that they reflected "the quality of the seating" and the "quality of the football."

And now - when asked - you refuse to tell me anything about the supposedly superior quality of this seating and you're equally unable to tell me what you're comparing this seating with!

Face it, when it comes to football you haven't a clue.

So we're effectively paying Arsenal prices.

Hands up who thinks it's reasonable to charge £35 for standard seats at a football game for away fans.

Could you provide a source for that please?

Yes. Competition Rules http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2002/08/20766.htm

and the rule in Question

25. ADMISSION TO MATCHES - SALE OF TICKETS

(a) All persons must be charged admission to the ground, enclosure and stands in all matches subject to the following conditions:

(i) In the Qualifying Competition, each Club shall be entitled to 30 complimentary tickets.

(ii) In the Competition Proper, each Club shall be entitled to 50 complimentary tickets.

(iii) Complimentary tickets issued by the Home Club in excess of the above must be accounted for at the price at which they would have otherwise been sold.

(iv) A complimentary ticket is a ticket that allows admittance to any area of the stadium to attend a match for no consideration where a charge would otherwise be made by the home club.

(b) Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions:

(i) The minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:

In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00

In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £4.00

In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £5.00

In the Competition Proper: £6.00

(ii) The price of admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed by both Clubs concerned.

(iii) A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.

And the right of reply for Cardiff

vi) The admission prices are to be confirmed in writing to The Association and the visiting club as part of the Match Arrangement Form.

(vii) All questions in dispute must be immediately referred to The Association for settlement.

how do you reach that conclusion? and can you name me a comparable game in the cardiff fixtures this season?

incidently, you seem as usual reluctant to play by the same rules you demand of everyone else.

you don't have to pay it. if you don't like it, why don't you go and set up your own cup competition?

Yeah, with traffic-untroubled turnstiles and quality-free football!

They'll make half the money.

The 3rd Rd of the FA Cup is all about an away draw to a big club to make money.

Incidentally, is the game nearly sold out?

Ah, I see, the club'll be whining (tho not out loud ) not the fans.

We've sold out, don't know about Arsenal, not much of a draw for them isi it?

It's been quoted in the local rag that we'll get £500,000 from it

To save me the tedium of having to deal with another of your marathon wriggles, will you simply explain why you think Arsenal's seating in itself warrants a high ticket price please?

Why is it superior to any other teams?
