What No Amir Khan Thread???

i was talking more about the first one

he earned the silver medal by thrashing everyone around him- and against kindelan, the best boxer in the world
he did not disgrace himself!

amir is good enough, no doubt about it

Thought he was given a lesson in the first fight tbh, Kindelan was too fast, too strong and too clever for Khan. Which is why it was so strange to see Kindelan look lethargic and unwilling to throw any meaningful punches just a few months later during Khan's ITV debut.

Indeed.

Frank Warren still maintains that Nasim Hamed "was one of the best featherweights of all time, and at his peak would have beaten all of the modern day champions - including Barrera and Erik Morales."
But he was taken back to school by Barrera, what he should have done was a rematch straight away, he had the capability of mixing it with all these big names, no doubt about it. He just dissolved when he lost, eejit.

As for Khan, he's lucky the Lightweights are a bit thin on the ground now. Think of some of the LW's of past, Castillo, Corrales and not forgetting Mayweather and De La Hoya. All great Lightweight champions, Khan wouldn't live with them at the moment.

He needs to learn how to defend against the right hand, I don't understand it personally, how he's a sucker for it, cos when he steps up the levels, and has been mentioned, he'll be destroyed.

Er, why didn't he let him fight them when he was at his peak then. I think I know the answer.

Frank Warren is a cock.

He said he would quit boxing if Enzo Macarenelli didn't beat David Haye.

I Pretty much Agree with this!

khan's getting pretty boring to watch now, he just does the same stuff.

plus he needs to be told that you dont keep punching a bloke when he's down. bang out of order.

there are a good 4 or 5 british fighters in khan's weight division that are of a much better quality. khan has got lucky by getting a deal with itv and frank warren, just like fraudly harrison did. he remains to prove himself yet.

really looking forward to calzaghe v hopkins, i hope joe beats him and then goes on to fight pavlik and retire. i think then he can be regarded as a true legend.

didn't think you back your bullshit comment up with answers!!

Amir Con will continue to fight feather fisted fighters. We've seen him get knocked to the floor twice in his pro career - look at his amateur career and there's more visits to the canvas.

But he's deffo top five in his weight class in Britain imo.

who's better then him in britain (in his weight class)?

I wouldn't bet against Con beating any British fighter in his weight class. However, he has fought a top five fighter and got knocked out.

We won't see him fight Thaxton, for obvious reasons.

lol

you are right up Con's arse aren't you.

NO, I just don't think he's shit purely coz

1: theres alot of hype, due to the fact he's an olympic medellist

2: He's one of F Warrens boys

I can see his obvious potential.

I don't think he's so good that he'll clear up at lightweight- by no means. But if he continues to improve like he has over the last year or so he could end up having a quality career.

you still haven't told me who you think is better then him (british LW) other than thaxton
