Kings of Leon the first few albums are a safe-bet. just good rock and roll albums if you ask me. I am sure they'll be far too mainstream for some on here, but a lot of the hype is well-deserved. good albums.

Never heard of them? Are they a bit like the Black Crowes?

cheers, i like the mastodon album and i think the first slipknot album has aged very well considering how much i hated them the first time round. i'll check them out.

Yeh the Mastodon album is amazing. I never liked slipknot first time round either, I didn't really get them though.

Slayer's new album came out 2 days ago "World painted blood" It's what you'd expect from Slayer.
