What music player do you use?

I'm using the latest Winamp for music and GOM Player for video, it's a bit slicker looking than VLC, which I was using until recently, and has slow motion/fast motion options.

Winamp - in classic mode...
It's fast, easy and super simple.

Plays all the files I want, I can organise my own music in folders.

Quick! Put all your 20th century drum n bass on shuffle!

Ha! I can do that like that. Like that.

Foobar. Very lightweight (which is essential when it comes to a computer nearing 10 years of service) and does everything I want it to.

Am I the only person who uses

Based on Mozilla, has loads of plug-ins, pulls down data on bands you're listening to like videos, podcasts, pictures, tourdates etc etc.

And looking at that playlist, I must point out it's from the website, not me... :hmm::D

downlaoaded! i like it, familier interface i like the liove updfating much better then itunes. I can't seem to find a decent equaliser but off a little play tis good.

Am I the only person who uses Songbird?

I tried that but I couldn't get it to display album art and I found the navigation a pain in the arse. Went back to Windows Media Player after a bit. Also I couldn't find a crossfading thing for it - I like that feature in WMP when you've got loads of stuff on shuffle.

must be what you're used to :)
Whenever I find myself using WMP, I get completely lost in the navigation, but the itunes layout (sources on the left, three browser columns, list at the bottom) is so intuitive to me.

I think you're right Crispy. When it takes you a while to learn a new bit of kit I quite often give up if it doesn't happen quickly.

I've still got Songbird on my PC and might give it another go- I would like a replacement for WMP. It can be a bit slow scrolling through a massive mp3 collection like mine.

Thing is, I picked up itunes really quickly, but WMP has always been inpenetrable.

For the record, I think Spotify has the best music player interface around.

Loving the lyrics add-on for songbird. Thats a very welcome feature.

no cd importing is kinda lame and as i said above i want to have an equaliser for different genres, thats handy.

had alook for one in the add ons but it aint there.(i think)

also is there a way to make the volume the same on every song?

anyway to make it play videos?

it picks up the audio track form the various vids i have but i have yet to find a way for it actually play them.

Good work on the volume that was pissing me off and coldnt find anutything in help.

iTunes for tunes, VLC for video, Coreplayer for video on the phone.

If someone can recommend me a hassle free iTunes lite (i don't bother with podcasts, buying stuff from Applestore etc, or use genius) I'd be quite happy to uninstall iTunes...
