What MOTORbike do you want?

Well for a 1984 m/c they compete well with jap stuff of the same era, about 125 top wack.

and they are very rare and as I said very uncomfortable but I agree with cyberfairy, they look v cool.

Fair do's. I see they're about 50bhp. Not keen on the look meself but each to their own. Always had a sneaking liking for Ducatis

I am now the proud owner of a Honda CBR 1100xx Blackbird since sunday...
Had been eyeing it for a while (belonged to a mate of mine), he traded it in for a brand spanking new GSXR 750, I bought it 10 minutes later.
Had to trade in the old 1997 Bandit for the deal, I still feel sorry about that, if I had the cash I would have held onto both of them, but that was not possible!
The sheer power and torque is unreal, not to mention that mine is a 2002 in immaculate condition with more mods than you can shake a stick at...DJbombscare, you know what I mean.
Now getting to know my baby a little better, have already realized that it can/will(?) get me in a lot of trouble!
Thank God for the radar detector and the heads up display mounted on the helmet;)
Happy riding to all!

This one is for you, DJ!:

I'd like my old Triumph Bonneville back, please. (Why oh why did I ever get rid? :( ) It was a '79 T140E in the most beautiful graphite colour.
Oh, an Arial Square Four would be nice too. And an AJS CSR like my grandma used to ride

The thing with Ducs is that they're all about the handling not the power. My only experience of riding a Pantah in anger was when a mate lent me his at a track day at Mallory Park way back in the 80's, this was when GPZ's were the tool of choice for most, I was riding round the outside of the jap 550's, cranked over at a ridiculous angle, like they were standing still:D :D

It's so shiny because it never runs!

I want an electric assist bicycle... does that count as being a motorbike, slow and boring but great on hills and if you have a 10mile + commute makes it easy.

This is what I want once I've done my test!

Is only a 125 but it is fast as fuck!

funnily enough am test riding an aprillia weekend after next. I want another v twin. Its smaller than my R6 so should wheelie to fuck

I'd like to re-live my errant youth with another BMW R60-5, preferably with the "mushy peas mixed with vomit" green paintjob. :)

So many bikes I would like to have in the garage dont know where to start!

But its not so much what you ride as how you ride, check this French dude out on a 600 Hornet :D

indeed one of the reasons for looking at the aprillia is I am no where near good enough for the R6. Its wasted on me. at least with a litre v twin I wont have to worry about keeping the revs in the sweet zone. plus all that torque with a short wheelbase will mean its going to be a wheelie machine.

mind you doing stuff like that on public raods is taking a huge risk

lmao just a tad, standing on the tank whilst doing a jig was not part of my star rider course either.

Currently got an old XJ900, but am hoping to upgrade to either a Beemer or spanking new Honda Pan European.

I like bikes that look like a sofa, comfy seats, stereo for some serious touring.

(Can I say with due shame that my next buy after will be a Lambretta Si...brings back those memories down on Brighton beach)

Anyone coming out to play?

Moray Coast MC “Run what Ya Brung”

How would you like to run your bike flat out down one of the largest stretches of straight tarmac in Scotland

8th October 1200hrs to 1600hrs

RAF Lossiemouth

£10 per bike for as many runs as we can fit in.

Lossiemouth runway is long enough to allow you a good mile run and still have enough space to gradually slow down without heavy braking. There will be a radar gun on hand to record your speed. The runway is flat, smooth and has no standing water, its just the perfect place to top out your bike

As you would expect there are a few conditions from the RAF.

They need a list of names 2 weeks before the event. For that reason this will be a pre-booked event

Photo ID must be produced on the day.

No wheel spinning, burnouts etc for obvious reasons they don’t want the runway damaged and it’s a high speed run not a ¼ mile drag.

Speed limits everywhere else on the base (including the taxi run back to the start) are to be strictly adhered to.

We will have a medical presence and are working on refreshments.

The money raised will be split between a charity of RAF choice and a local guy the club is supporting who has recently developed MS.

:D

i'd like a 916 that fitted anyone taller than 5'3" please...

Or failing that an RC30

Or failing that, a Jota

I've got an 06 R-1 which is good and I don't think I could replace it with anything better (for me) at any price. If I had the garage space I'd have R1200GS Beemer and Husqy Super Moto too. Oh yeah and a CBR600RR in Movistar colours and the Ducati Sport 1000 looks sweet too...

This for the drag strip weekends... ( blown Fzr 1000 with nitrous!)..220 rwbhp

o.jpg

this for my two stroke nostalgia...140kg wet weight with 110bhp from an RG500 crammed into an RGV250 chassis...yessss please!

and this if I can`t decide...

for all you hell's angels who keep polluting...

A lot of older bikes will do 40 to the galon as opposed to many cages designed for road bound mobile users which do 20-28miles to the gallon on a good day.

But in answer to the quetion...

for all you hell's angels who keep polluting the clear, free, streamlined lines of the "which CYCLE do you want?" thread with your over-engineered, noisy, pocket rockets. ;)

An Ironhead shoehorned into a featherbed frame or custom frame of similar design. Turbo & Nitrous kit wouldn't go amiss either:D

An R1 would be nice, but it would prolly scare the shit out of me.
I'd quite like a KTM 640 supermoto

I want one of those or, the Yamaha equivalent. Thinking I may not need a proper licence for cruising through Africa.

Bad idea possibly. but, it appeals big time.

I want this to be my beauty :)
Tomorrow I have my final driving exam for my motorbike.. freaking out with nerves right now, but I have to get that license!!!

Untill I have the money to buy a Yamaha FZ1, I'll probably be crossing around Europ with a Yamaha XJ600S Diversion:
