What (moto) bike do you ride then?

ok, here are some pics of my current, and past bikes. i'm still looking for a pic of my zx9r after i'd finished tricking it up, and my zx7r too... unfortunately I didn't have my zxr400 long enough to take a picture of it before some scrotes stole it

Pingu (or any other bikers for that matter) have you seen the new R6? **drools** nearly good enough to stop me buying another Gixer 750.. but not quite.

oooh yeah

here is how the conversation with mrs pingu will go

but sweety pie, I know the other R6 is only 6 months old but this one will make me better in bed and everything. People will flock and go ..Oooooh nice bike can I touch you for with such a cool looking bike you must truely be the son of god. The common cold will be cured, that tree in the garden you like so much will start growing, That bitch in work you hate so much will die of envy. Gawn its only anothr couple of thousand...

sadly the answer is likely to be

"you do whatever you feel is best, I dont mind"... which in Mrs pingu speak means "if you buy it you wont get a shag for months

Cor ! everyone seems to have such shiny new toys to play with...!
When I`m not out on the Exup scaring R1 owners .... :D The Exup may be nearly 16 years old but with a bit more fettling ( jetting is still a bit rich high up) should be at the 130hp at the rear wheel. The R1 calipers, floating disks , new dog-bones and sorted engine all help the grin factor....saving for the ohlins at the mo` which will be the finishing touch.

I bimble round town on this hack....lovingly thrown down the road by my mate last year so "big bars " and "muffs!" were the only way to go..

Still a Yammi 1000 but you can scare R1 owners with this as well .... :D

Tobyjug...Vortan? ...does that come with a cloaking device to hide you from the sniggers of non-beleivers...

It is British, hand built and is unlike many other machines these days with two wheels and an engine, a motorcycle.

Lol @ Pingu, but, think of it this way... with a new R6, you'll be so busy riding it, through the summer months, that you might forget about sex for a while. and on the flip side, with the common cold cured, the tree in the garden that she likes growing so nicely, and the fact the she said you do what you feel is best, for the good of mankind, you MUST have a new r6. who are you to stand in the way of curing so much human suffering?

but, just as a reminder...

Just managed to have a major cull and got rid of a CX500, a "project" GSX750
and about half a ton of assorted scrap.Of the ones left...(images have been changed to protect the innocent)

KZ700-Californian import.Spent 400UKP sorting it out about three years ago, swapped bikes with a friend when out on a ride. Last thing I remember him saying was "there's nothing wrong with this is there?" about two minutes before he threw it down the road.Rebuilt it, including expensive spray job, lent it to another "friend". Now needs about another 400 quid spending to get back on road.

Main transport is a K75

K Series BMs probably the most reliable bikes ever built but about as interesting as corporation pop.As soon as I get my car licence I'm buying a diesel car for motorway work, selling the BM and buying the loudest, most uncomfortable, impractical bike I can find. I reckon a few months with a YPVS or an XR600 should make life interesting again!

PS: EXUP above is class. Top box bungied on pillion seat + handlebar muffs=

got a 250rr fzr
Honda 1000v4
Ducati dharma (beville)
honda cb900 Drag bike)
yamaha 100
ts 185
yz 80
gt 500
2 postie bikes
2 lawn mower bikes
and lot of spares.
Mind you have 5 boys and live in the middle of no where.

True ...very true....wasn`t having a dig about the choice just that it seems a dead end project? I would love the backing and customer base to launch an all British sports bike ( Triumph are sneaking in the Japanese influence slowly but surely? and diluting what makes a bike " one-off"?)

This still is my fave all time bike..............

I would not mind a Britten engine as a basis for motorcycle.
Other than that Kawasaki are doing another 6 cylinder engined bike in the near future. Three of the best customised bikes I have seen thus far have used the old Kawasaki six cylinder engines.

I think this by Yamaha could have been something a lot better than it is reported to be....

It should be a rip snorting v-twin but seems a bit lame if the moto rags are anything to go by..?

Not sure I could live with a six cylinder kwack engine in a sports chassis...I think what you`ve got in mind for it will not have the emphasis on cornering ability.... ;) The width , crank gyroscope effect and a lot of injectors / airbox size all go against it!

But if I was gonna do anything with one of the original z1300 motor ...it would be this...

Sport bikes are totally useless for me due to the riding position, the seat height and the insistance of having a very high lump behind the seat.
There really is no bike produced in numbers that fits the bill.
If I ever have the money I will have to get one built. (Around a TL1000 engine would do).

loud 1:

if u get a chance, have a rip on this lil bad boy.

ktm super duke 950 v-twin.

Thats lurrrrvely. I still remember thge first time I rode a 250LC. I remember thinking....this is quite slow isn't it? before discovering....

a)what a powerband was
b)how light the front end was
c)realising I was approaching a junction at 60mph with the front wheel in
the air on a bike with no working front brake. Cue instant sphincter control.

That pic reminds me of the old Bloodrunner strip in Bike magazine.Google Andy Sparrow and he's got a website full of his designs. I had a mate who had the "I've heard of whitelining but that's ridiculous" design as a tattoo on his shoulder.

Bloodrunners is still about...

http://www.bloodrunners.com/

Met Mr Andy Sparrow a long time ago ...v.nice bloke

As for 350lc`s,ypvs`s and gamaha`s ..I could write a book on frightening episodes, anicdotes and general hooligan behaviour I had on those bikes....luckily the force was strong and I bought a FZ750 after the umpteenth 350lc engine re-build.. :(

Still wouldn`t mind a blat on the Gammaha again..possibly the lightest,most powerful ( bhp/litre/kg) thing I`ve ridden ...v.v.v.scary

Got a foto of it somewhere.....

Innit! Believe it or not there is a pie shop 5 mins down the road (which I was on the way back from) :)

Goes on for about 40k with just the odd group of fishermen and the odd surfer.
