What moisturiser do you use?

I was trying to describe what my skin is like, and it sounds quite similar to yours may, greasy, but dry in places too. I could never go without moisturiser as my face feels too tight after washing.

Me, you and pootle can form a greasy skin separatists' movement at PROD :D

best of all, by some arcane magic, it actually stops my face getting so greasy throughout the day

This is exactly the sort of magic I iz after. My face gets shiny ridicously quickly even now when I've trained myself to not touch my face.

Ta! May! I stock up saturday morning and no doubt my face will be just perfect by saturday evening for PRoD :D

I use moisturiser cos it ages me if I don't. I looked shocking last night but jumped in the bath, slapped on a Lush fresh face mask and then moisturised when I got out and I was instantly years younger.

Tanky, I was similar to you when I first encountered Lush. I'd get a rush to the sinuses but it didn't go on to give me a headache as I thought although I did feel overwhelmed. I get that same rush scooting down the washing powder aisle now. Flashy can only visit in short bursts cos it makes him a bit wobbly. It's worth a duck in now and again to become accustomed to it or visit one in a shopping centre cos the air con seems to draw the smells out.

Aveda sensitive moisturiser for my face (far too expensive, but works for me).
Some weird eczema stuff for the rest of my body... doesn't smell as nice as cocoa butter, but doesn't make me itch either :)

You mean you have a regular old 'T zone' :D

The enzymion stuff is good, it's best to use it only on the greasy parts of your face though and use a second moisturiser for dry skin on the other bits iirc, you only need a tiny bit as it's quite strong but it seriously does work wonders on greasy skin, reminds me, I gotta get some more for my poxy nose

isn't the t-zone greasy? my dry bits are in the t-zone and around the scalp line.

My t-zone is greasy but the rest is really dry and feels horribly tight if I don't moisturise. :(

What's up with the Lush website? It's been down for ages and I wanted some conditioner.

I think you could be right, along with my freakish fat feet I reckon maybe I did end up in the reject bin :( :D

*not even a mother could love that one*

The techies they've employed to redo the site weren't exactly the best option. PM me if you want to know more cos they're a lovely company and I don't really wanna diss their decisions on a public domain.

well they're losing out on £££'s from me, cos I don't go into their shops because the smell makes me want to heave and makes me wheeze!

I know. It's a bloody shame cos the forum has fallen apart and they must be bleeding money. I hope they don't go under again :( Mail order is nice but it's not the same as being able to go on to the site for those of you who don't want to or can't pop in to a shop. And they literally have 6 people manning the phones at mail order.

I think they should have Lush parties like Body Shop or Ann Summers things so you can try stuff and not be overwhelmed by all the shop smells.

I didn't know they did mail order. But I suppose I can't order a brochure if the site is down. :(

You can call and ask for one. They'll add you to the mailing list, assuming that's still working of course  :p

I have the Lush mail order number in my mobile 01202 668545 :o If I'm not allowed to post this, feel free to tell me and I'll delete it.

Great, I'll phone them now.

Thanks. :)

Presently using one from The Sanctuary which has a SPF15 and seems to suit me. At xmas I got given an Eve Lom set which I REALLY liked but it costs way too much to form a habit.

Apparently people put it on their face, after washing it an' that.

Does wonder for all manner of facial probs by all accounts!

When I'm feeling dry I use clinique moisture on-call. I use it overnight. It's too much every day for me (and an expensive present!). Sorts out my dandruff face without overloading my greasy t-zone. :o £30? Mine is bought for me through duty free so I dunno.
Generally I'm using Elizabeth Arden Sheer Lights tinted moisturiser in the daytime, but not anywhere near every day as only when I leave the flat (spf 15). I bought it for £7 online.

Body
E45 stuff (don't know price, lasts forever). Lotion for all over and the cream for hands and feet (eczema) and elbows. Or whatever is about if I fancy a change.

edit: missed the how much is it part

ooh, forgot that I use elizabeth arden 8 hour cream when my face is being particularly sore/flaky/red. and I got it for £10.50 from a site someone recommend here a few weeks ago - I think it's normally about £20.

I never use moisturiser - I buy moisturiser, but i never remember. I don't have dry skin or greasy skin, so I don't have any incentive, other than the vague idea that I ought to. Plus, it makes my makeup fall off, even if I leave it say, ten mins after putting it on .
