Bad. I listened to it tons, particularly Man in the Mirror.
I also bought his biography, Moonwalk I think it was called, but only because I'd joined one of those book club things and kept forgetting to send off the form that said I' do not want the recommended book of the month.' It wasn't a bad book at all - ghostwritten , I assume, as will any new autobiography of his be too.
Nothing, really. I was too young when he was quite good, and I never cared that much about him when I started buying stuff.
I could have bought loads of things today, 'to. Every record store was showing off their stock - one guy managed to flog two LPs online while we were browsing the shelves
I bought "Thriller" around 1983. It truly was a very impressive album . Overplayed of course and I wouldn't listen to any of those tracks now. I was into Motown - but "The Four Tops" were my favourite at the time MJ was competing with Donny Osmond.
I can't see the fuss otherwise and as for the messianic crap ? - given the continued popularity of Disneyland and the fuss they made over Diana, I shouldn't be surprised....
