I've always had Nokias. My last upgrade to the 6500s was a disappointment, I abandoned it about 3 months ago and went back to my 6230i which is about 4 years old now and is still as reliable as ever.

Im due an upgrade soon but I don't know if i'll bother tbh, at least not straightaway. I can't seem to see anything that I particularly want and it can be as fancy & as clever as it likes but if it loses my numbers, constantly freezes & won't turn on (as per the 6500-s) then it's worse than useless.

Been using this one for about 5-6 years, bet noone is using an older phone, anywhere.:)

I'm on a Sony Ericsson, a K850i. It's my third SE, all of which I've had on eighteen month contracts, so 4 1/2 years of them. Always great phones, very usable, decent music players and decent cameras. But all have broken. The first two had major hardware issues (keys breaking or refusing to work) and this one has had no end of firmware issues. I've finally given up on them, and will moving to the G1 very soon.

Always had a Nokia (I sound like a commercial), mainly because the user interface is always the same between models and it's what I'm used to. My son inherited my previous Nokia which is about 5 years old and is still going. Mine is a year old and I'm keeping it for another 18 months at least, in exchange for a monthly rebate on my line rental.

You're in a telecomms mood today aren't you ed? :D

BENQ-Siemens E71.Cost £25.

I've put a 1Gig microSD card in it and it's my second backup MP3 player, but a pain to use as I don't have easy access to bluetooth or a USB cable .. so I've never seriously used the rather poor camera. The FM radio isn't bad .. I've even modified the headset cable so I can use other phones or plug it into an amp.

The "Web and Walk" is cheap, but barely useable at all.

My last two phones have been Nokias.

N95 for almost two years (great phone in my view). Just last week I got a new 5800 with s60 v5 touch.

It's fuggin lovely.

It's a Nokia something or other - had it about 4 years.

I like it much better than the ugrade to which I was entitled 2 years ago and never used - I like chunky phones for my old fingers, and it's supposed to be water proof.

I could have upgraded twice since and never bothered. But i mainly use it as an alarm clock tbh :D

LG KU990:

It's not a bad phone, but it's got a few irritating glitches and it seems to be starting to go wrong even though I've only had it a few months. I'm not all that sold on the touch-screen either: texting's easier with proper keys! On the other hand, it does have a superb camera.

Upgrade, then sell the upgrade on ebay! New phones are worth lots.

Nokia. Don't know what make. The one that only costs a tenner. It's the best phone I've ever had. Dead easy to use, no frills and was super cheap.

Yeah an iphone...

Almost stayed with Orange who were offering me an HTC Touch free upgrade..but liked the sound of all the applications and having the ipod music player.

So far its great: using it much more than I've used any mobile before, especially for e-mail and for the Things ('to do' list) application and the calendar.

Me too, well with the difference that you know what to do with the fuckin thing and i dont have the 1st clue. :o

Mines an n95 8gb, symbian s60 is a decent phone os, thousands of third party apps. I use opera mini for web browsing on it, which is a superb mobile phone browser.

I have been playing with a lg viewty for the last 13 months, the only thing it lacks is availabe software, since downloading opera mini ive been getting speeds close to the networks claims. Will happily take the lg renior as a upgrade though looking at the g1 also. Or its next model.

Mine is Sony Ericsson P910i. I think it's 4 years old now. I'm hoping it lasts until I can get some kind of android vehicle.

before that I had a nice Siemens sl45 and before that a shitty shitty nokia.

The best phone I have ever had and it cost £20.

Years back you would have payed a fortune for something so small - remember the sony mars bar? A brick in comparison.

I really don't need uber technology on the go. I have all that at home. When I go out I like to escape the bloody internet not carry it around with me.

^ I had a Samsung phone like that. Got it on a free upgrade, and liked it so much I didn't bother upgrading again for another couple of years. It's an excellent little phone.

if all i did was make calls and text i'd still be using my old nokia 6310i - best phone ever

i use an htc touch diamond and an older htc as a satnav for the car/bike

mine's a smansung, slidey something or other. not overly keen on it, but was the phone that came with the best deal for me.

have had sony erriksons and nokias in the past. my fav phones are sony erriksons i think

:)

i have a sony ericcson c902, i thought it was the coolest thing ever when i got it- now it's a bit fucking dodgy. my old w810i was a tank, it withstood some serious impacts and is still working 3 years after i got it.

There's a ton of new phones being announced ahead of a big mobile industry shindig next week but the only one that's got me salivating is the Palm Pre.

Want.

I'm looking forward to playing with some of the new Android devices next week. Quite like the G1, but think that something will blow it out of the water very soon, so am holding out to see what's on the horizon.
