What kind of TV do you have?

It's biggish with a big back on it, not plasma or anything like that. It's JVC and I can't find anywhere on the actual telly to adjust the volume so when I lose the remote (which happens often) I have to put sky subtitles on.

46 inch sony bravia.

Ah - my mate has that but slightly smaller I think - cool telly but to big for me tbh unless you love TV or have a massive room - anything bigger then 32" seems big - but like I said in my OP 32" seems big and odd to me and I have a big living room

My house has a cinema screen thing, done by projector.

It's pretty cool but you have to be careful what you watch because we haven't got curtains and anyone who walks past can see what you're watching, even if they're on the other side of the road, because it's so big.

I was watching 'Don't Look Now' thinking it was a straightforward horror and had to rush to turn it off when there was some full on naked sweaty boning action started happening.

It'll be just my luck that one of my ex boyfriends will walk past just at that minute and see me in on my own watching softporn.

A 14 inch PYE...no remote control, only 5 channels, gets a decent picture if there's an R in the month.

Panasonic TH-50"

Best Flatscreen you can buy.

Panasonic Electronics’ 50-inch, TH-50PZ700U high-definition, plasma television was named the “best flat screen ever tested” in a new electronics report from Consumer Reports magazine.

The TV, which is priced at $2,900, was found to offer superior detail, rich vibrant colors and deep blacks which almost made images look 3D.

Panasonic make the best flatscreens.

A 42 inch toshiba XV, it hurt my eyes when we first got it.:o

We did have a 32 inch sony crt that we took with us over 6 moves of house, it was bloody heavy, it survived a fire as well.

We got a 42" plasma LG a few months ago. I took some convincing at first, mainly because I didn't want a massive tv dominating the room. As it is though, because it's flat and quite sleek looking it's less imposing than a big old crt.

The cost was also an issue with me but I have only bought one tv over the past 25 years (and that was my first portable and my parents chipped in for as a xmas present) and it did come with a 5 year guarantee

I think I was also wanting to ask how much does a tv mean to you - when I bought mine I was with a friend who was asking all sorts of confusing questions bout resolution and shit - tv means fuck all to me - I just want an ok picture

Tv means very little to me. I probably watch a couple of hours a week, and that will be during one evening when I go through Replay moaning that there's fuck all on.
I do appreciate a large, high quality image when watching films/dvds and playing my xbox though :)
