What is your preferred lunch slot?

I tend to leave between 12.40 and 12.50 and come back in no less than 40 mins later. If I'm going to the gym, I lunch in the office quickyl at half 12, then go to the gym between abotu 2 and 3, thus missing the lunch peak (and avoiding mid-afternoon slump!)

If I take the 12:00 - 13:00 slot and pretty much everyone else goes in the 13:00 - 14:00 window then I can effectively have a 2 hour lunch break, with the last hour dozing at my desk! It was staring me in the face all this time and I never realised, I feel like such a fool!

this is exactly what I do! Sometimes extends till half 2 if I'm lucky. Plus the sandwich shops are much quieter if you get in there a bit early and you don't end up spending half your lunch in a queue.

Going to have my lunch in about half an hour, I'll probably stay in the office as most of the decent pubs will have shut. Read a book, watch a film, get takeout later.

i dont get lunch breaks. i work in care/education so we eat with our students , all of whom are high dependency special educational/medical/behavioural needs. you havent lived untill you have tried to eat a sandwhich while clearing a feeding tube, spoon feeding another person and tried to diffuse an argument/fight over a copy of postman pat

I've done 2 of those 3 feyr! I did get a lunch break of sorts as well though.

At mo...I get half hour (BOOO) and it can be abytime between 12.30 and 2pm.
HATE being told when I can go eat n go wee n go home etc.etc...but hey ho.

I do 1 - 2 . Makes the afternoon shorter , and if you factor in the 15 minutes after lunch to actually start working again and the 15 minute wind down before home time it means I only actually do 1 hour 45 minutes work in an afternoon

What i often do is eat my lunch at my desk with one hand, whilst hammering away at the keyboard, looking incredibely busy (i'm very good at faking this). I make this last at least half an hour. And then I go out for my proper 1 hour lunch break.

I eat early because a) I have breakfast at 6.30 and b) we have a staff canteen and if you get there much after 12.45, there's only nasty things left. I eat at my desk while 'working' then go out for a stroll.
