What is your favourite item of furniture?

Definitely my bed. old, but comfortable. We have a deep and meaningful relationship.

next my sofa - comfortable to sleep on.

thanks. it ain't finished yet, we are putting a new kitchen in and building a extra floor upstairs with a roof terrace and a larger living room.
I am trying to get all furniture from Danish designers.

I reckon you'd get away with a bit of Aalto though

My sofa is quite nappable if not stylish. Currently deliberating over a dining room table - do I go for a gateleg or normal extending one with a leaf? There's one with nice maple inlays I've got my eye on, but it's a bit big. Decisions, decisions.

I'm falling in love with the beautiful little 1950's ceiling lamp I picked up at the local fleamarket/2ndhand shop last week... It's shaped so perfectly, and I can't help myself but casting secretive glances at it while I'm around the room, trying to catch it at different angles...

I always like furniture that's a little bit worn, not 100% perfect but with a little bit of that patina and personality one finds after daily wear and tear...

I own a right random assortment of crap, so my favourite is definitely my Warren Evans bed. Well, actually it's 'our' WE bed as Mr K and I bought it together when we first moved in together. So as well as being incredibly, ridiculously comfy and a total haven from life, it's also quite symbolic of our relationship
