What is your favourite dinner?

Roast lamb with roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, roast parsnips, peas, Yorkshire pudding or roast beef with piecrust.

Or chicken dhansak with rice and poppadoms (don't usually have that for dinner though).

Butter beans, spinach and garden peas cooked inna indian stylee, plenty of garlic and onion and chilli and ginger and spices and coriander. Gotta have loads of oil in it too. That, with brown rice, and maybe spiced new semipotatoes.

Saffron lamb (Nigella), roast potatoes, broccoli, peas, roast carrots and stuffing with loads of gravy and mint sauce.

yuck man, each to his own like, but that sounds fucking rank.

My favourite tea is the midweek fry, for when you just can't be arsed.

Having said that, I'm partial to a nice rabbit pie this time of year with new spuds and carrots.

Roast goose, roast taters and parsnips, peas and carrots, with proper gravy. Simple, perfect, and too fucking expensive for somebody generally cooking for one.

What I keep coming back to when cooking for myself is keema methi.

Egg and chips for me too - with a good dollop of tomato ketchup and a couple of rounds of buttered bread. Lovely

Roast pork with crackling, roast spuds, roast parsnips, peas, gravy, stuffing, Yorkshire pud and white sauce would be a close second.

I could never choose just one favourite dinner. Arghhh, now I've made myself hungry thinking about all the different foods I love

How can egg and chips be anyones favourite dinner? Are you mad?

Chips dipped in egg are rubbish.

Don't get me wrong, I love eggs. And chips. But they're just not that magicial a combination of foodstuffs.

Sausage and mash however...

i dont think i have a favourite dinner :(

i quite like bacon sandwhiches with ketchup, so i shall say that is my favourite :)

possibly my second fave, but so long as the trimmings don't include parsnips or any of those root-veg that masquerade as potato.

Mans a freak, doesn't even like parsnip.

Whats the matter spud boy, fraid of a little flavour?

Pasta, tuna, sweetcorn & mayo (perhaps with a grating 'o cheese) never dissapoints :)

That or any kind of roast dinner :D

Probably something unimaginative like steak and chips, with blue cheese butter and mushrooms.

But when it's done well, it can't be beaten imo.

I'm a captive of fortune to whatever the hippy cunts send me at great cost :(

By the end of April I'm desperately hoping that the parsnips will be over. And soon I'll be looking forward to them again. The seasons are a wonderful thing. :)

I went to a gastropub the other day that had delusions of being a real restaurant and their soup of the day was parsnip. Who wants to eat parsnip soup in the summer.

I don't have a favourite dinner. I do have a special fondness for spaghetti with meatballs, which I'm having tonight as a post night-shift treat in front of my new favourite TV programme, Wallander (the Swedish version).

Egg and Chips is one of those meals I can eat anytime, and be happy. Had a kicking/lost job/ fallen out with someone/ generally pssed off?
